In his after match comments, Mr Hodgson said that Leeds were a "Good Team". He also mentioned about the pitch saying it was the same for both sides but didn't help when chasing the game. It was 2-0 but the result didn't reflect Leeds' superiority. It should have been 5-0 as they missed some good chances thanks in part to abject defending at set-pieces by Milivojevic. Do you think that Roy has the players to do better. We have gone from having a good defence to the second worse in the league. So it's not his tactics, as they worked well previously, it's because the heart of the defence is too old and slow,as you have mentioned previously.

A good team is built around a solid spine. Guita is a very good goalkeeper, but look what he has in front of him. Our central defenders - whatever the ever changing combination is - are past it. It showed up again tonight, no pressure on the ball for Leeds first goal. Luka in midfield. A shadow of the player he was three years ago. Now a liability in possession and the only thing consistent in his game is a yellow card. Up front Benteke, Bats don't retain the ball nor are they a goal threat. Too soon to evaluate Mateta, but tonight will have given him a glimpse of what it takes and he's got his work cut out if he's going to make it in this league. As for the game, we saw the best of Leeds with their high press and energy levels. I thought we also saw the other side of their game - they did give us room to play in but our players failed to make the most of those opportunities and we ended up a poor second. Of course Hodgson is coming in for the inevitable post defeat bashing despite actually trying some new ideas and giving Mateta his debut. Perform like tonight at the Amex in 2 weeks time, and I dread to think what this board will be like.

We have NO chance whatsoever of getting a result against Brighton and one can just imagine the mood of the supporters on HOL after the game. Edited by Willo (09 Feb 2021 12.06am)

My good god what a boring, boring game. Leeds were woeful but woeful against a team who simply were not there. I would say what I normally do after a s*** loss which is "better forget this one and move on" but we really can't forget such a shart display but instead focus on it as a gleaming display of how not to take to the pitch. Lackluster, uninterested and uninformed.

If the manager used the talent he has correctly to their strengths we would be fine he doesn't he wants to play one way this is why you think Zaha is important because he plays it so he is a main focus so you remove him he just drops random person in expecting them to play the same way. People moan about Benteke and his scoring record for Palace is poor yet Zaha gets a free ride take a look comparing each of their stats Benteke has done a better job even in the assists department they are equal.

Roy has gone from being a bit clueless, to being utter sh-t. I have no idea if another manager could have our squad playing worse, but I'm starting to doubt it. Everyone plays out of position. We focus 99% of defense, and yet are 19th in the PL in goals allowed. We sign Eze, and Roy neutralizes him. Nothing we do is positive. It's all a matter of, "Let's be slightly less sh-t than the three worst PL teams." Eze has to regretting this move to such a dire situation, and Mateta will never score a goal as long as Roy is our manager.

When you look at the (many) games we are bad-bad, I wonder how we have managed 29 points to our club? As a PL team, such a performance ought to be forbidden. It is just painful to be watching. Do not blame the ref even though Marriner was pretty biased, as usual.

No one should have to watch the $hit that stumbles out onto the pitch in Palace colours nearly every week ... it's inhumane.
