Great news. For all of the nightmares this has plunged us into, I can see many of the advancements being made right now positively impacting all kinds of medical conditions going forward.

I read an article the other day which said that medically the UK is leading the world in COVID treatment. Apparently our doctors have come up with all sorts of treatments that are now copied around the world. Good to know we got some things right.

Indeed, great news badger, we will need it having the worst death record in europe and third worst death record in the world! The way the statistics on Wuhan virus deaths are collected differs from country to country. So, perhaps more to reality our figures are what they are because they are designed that way. Just as other countries are designing their figures to suit the picture they want to present as well.

It's kicking-off, as the EU realises it put its vaccine order in quite late. "Back of the queue mate. Others were here before you" [Link] (BBC Website) This comes after crisis talks which both sides described as "constructive". AstraZeneca earlier said it could deliver only a fraction of the doses it promised in January-March, blaming production issues at European plants. But the EU said the firm must honour its commitments and deliver the jabs by diverting stock from the UK." (BBC website) The EU is not negotiating from a position of strength
