there seems to be a certain amount of flippancy with regards to any takeover and the illusive move to the next level. the 1st thing that any new owner would need to do is invest £200m in the starting 11...we have the oldest team in the PL and that is going to start to show in the next year or so. this in my opinion would probably only allow us to keep up the jones’ in a mid-table sense. coupled with the stadium plans & academy plans thats nearly £400m investment all in, then theres covering the operating losses that will obviously come from upsizing our operation...all in all we need somebody with extremely deep pockets willing to spunk money up the wall as a plaything, and i just cant see us being that lucky. what, in my humble opinion we need to do, is take 4 of our best players from the academy, a full back, centre back, winger & striker and start to slowly blood them in the 1st team, to see if we could save ourselves an awful lot of money in squad overhaul costs as the prices good young players move for is eye watering
