Agree with all of that. Thought all 11 were poor tonight and as much as I enjoyed Saturday’s performance to many fans went overboard about it. We aren’t good enough to stay up with such a lightweight squad. Tactics were terrible tonight and Hodgson had no idea how to change it around :-( Sadly i think roy is like a gambler chasing his money on a roulette wheel.

I have followed my beloved club since the late 60s and it has always been a roller coasters of a journey. No side can play well week on week but you do expect the side to roll their sleeves up and fight for the cause even when things are against you. But my days that was shocking tonight from all concerned. I couldn't agree more.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I've been at livelier autopsy's...' by Midlands Eagle ...than the Amex. Just back from the game which was, I have to say, truly bloody awful. We were utterly poor from A-Z tonight, something which is being well covered on other threads. But I just wanted to point out that for a side which spent a huge portion of the game 2/3-0 up against its biggest rivals, the lack of atmosphere at the Amex tonight was truly astonishing. The occasional half-hearted chorus of 'Albion, Albion', and genuinely nothing else for 90 mins. We may have been dreadful on pitch tonight, but the half-baked atmosphere at that plastic cauldron in tandem with the fact that only about 5 of them turned up for our FA Cup game in January hasn't half made me glad to support a club nothing like theirs. COYP.

Awful subs again Wilf has been poor should of been taken off. Sorloth is complete waste of time he is not this level needs to go out on loan then see what he is all about (just think we paid like 9m for him going upto 17m madness could of gotten others for that) Looks like to me tactics was wrong and players went in over confident was found out and then a lot of them gave up. I fear we are going to get thumped at weekend West ham are starting to look strong Totally disagree...at least he gave them something to think about.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'I've been at livelier autopsy's...' by Midlands Eagle I was wondering if it was just the audio on my stream. Pathetic fans, if they're weren't making noise tonight then I guess I see why they need the plastic clappers.

I'm trying to take the emotion out of it, but it's not easy. Yes, we were certainly on the wrong end of yet another poor refereeing decision. But we then conceded two goals to ten men - shocking set piece marking and then only Tompkins knows how he managed to screw up so badly when all he needed to do was clear the ball. Brighton like nothing more than defending a lead and even being a player short didn't seriously disrupt their tactics. We all know that Palace have problems breaking down deep laying opposition and tonight was another example. As a group the players owe us one because that performance was totally unacceptable no matter who the opposition were.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'pva' by Midlands Eagle Should have been screaming at them to get off their arses and play football during the match. Making them apologise is Hodgson's job.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'pva' by Midlands Eagle He was so, so poor today in the final third. The whole team was poor but he basically destroyed every attack he was a part of. PVA and AWB are so important to the way we play but they were both highly ineffective today offensively. PVA tried so many short passes, flicks and one twos and every single one went nowhere except the cross he put on Townsend’s head in our first attack. He seriously needs to up his game offensively as he is involved in every attack and was playing the Schlupp role today, before the man himself came on and started to destroy attacks all on his own.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Kevin Friend is unplayable in that form' by Midlands Eagle The OP says it all. Perfectly. I'm surprised that the thread about us being crap is so busy while this is so quiet.

At least Wilbraham used to get into the position to miss. The fact that Wilbradonkey is better than this guy is a damning indictment. He is nowhere near good enough and needs to go out on loan to have any chance of making the grade.

He jumped up and headed it off the back of his head directly to their player in the 6 yard box. The lad is poor in the air and needs to sort that out ASAP.
