If AWB does end up leaving any deal needs to include a sell on fee, that or we settle for 60 million (hopefully) & then forget about the Wilf fee they're due should he leave too

They were all relatively young (23-27) and had at least 4-5 good years left in them before they started to decline. None of the above clubs wanted to sell those players who were all in their prime years. If anything AWB is still relatively unproven compared to the above players. For your other point - according to a newspaper yesterday (I know, it could be cr@p), AWB's agent has already agreed terms with ManU, which means he'll be getting a big salary boost. He stated he's happy staying here, but if they've already discussed terms, then you can bet he's excited to get to a new pay scale. He's likely gone. Face it.

With a fully-fit back four we have probably the best defence outside of the top 6, so it would be a huge loss, but our reliance on him is not the same as with Zaha. you are a bit off the mark . what i saw on the wage table for palace players his basic is 8,250 per week , pay the man a decent wage he might just stay
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

I hope we sign the Norwich fullback before we let AWB go.

The going-rate wage for a 50m player is probably ~125k a week. In other words, to keep him and keep him happy, we're talking 25m MORE in wage outlay over 5 years PLUS the fee we forgo. If they bid 50m, I think we need to sell. I know full backs matter these days, but still. It's so much money.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

That is a disaster waiting to happen. We need to strengthen our sick note defence, not weaken it. Lol. And you dont know anything either. You dont know that selling AWB will hurt our ability to attract other players (utter tripe most likely). Balancing the books is good enough. Our defence is fine apart from a left back. Joel Ward can do a job at right back and I am sure with 50 million quid we can sign another right back and have enough left over for a few packets of pork scratchings.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Why any fan would approve of selling our best talent is beyond me.

That insight only requires not being an idiot. You have no understanding of football. No top player will sign for a Mickey Mouse club who clearly has no ambition on the pitch.

we do worry alot and quick to blame the owners,CPFC has spent more on players than selling. AWB and WZ are big money to buy, to me thats great keeps us going, to many wanted us out of the cup comps to keep in the premiership,Zaha wants champions lge so does Aron and most of the squard, take it the ones who wanted us to blow the cups was crying with the thought of losing both due to them being short sighted, the board are not giving our best players away, the ground needs doing,so look at the bigger fix not short term, I fell we may keep both no logic, so no matter what happens to both players we will be ok to me AWB needs another season with us
