Maybe the ref didn’t want to find himself convulsing on a park bench in Salisbury...

Tomkins was excellent today- really showed fight and character.
I am optimistic we can stay up.
Huddersfield are not Tottenham, Man Utd or Chelsea.
Come on PALACE!

I'm amazed a team in our position go away to Chelsea and play two centre forwards. We were never going to get much of the ball so to play the two of them up front just seems ridiculous to me. Second half when wilf came on wide and schlupp played more central, no suprise we played better.
I love roy, but on more than one occasion this season I feel he's started with the wrong tactics, usually getting it right for the second half. But We can't afford to start slowly in our remaining games.

I've done some spring cleaning on this thread and would prefer not to see any further posts on the subject of Hennessey or those that like or don't like him

In Roy’s defence, and as we all know there are a lack of striking options. He couldn’t risk playing Zaha for a full 90mins, so there was not much option but to play 2 strikers, especially as our only playmaker Cabaye is out injured

Could have played one up front, ridewald in midfield, pushing macarthur forward a bit. Having said all that, the whole team were so lacklustre in the first half it may not have made much difference.

Look at this logically lads, just because the Ref disallowed a perfectly good goal it does not mean the match would have finished 2-2. the disallowed goal came before the PVA goal.which means if the goal had stood them Chelsea would have to kick off from the centre circle and the sequence of events would have been different. Who knows they may have even gone up the other end and scored a third. I watched the match in a restaurant in Brazil as I have done all of last three matches and the consensus of opinion amongst Brazilians who know a thing or two about football is that Palace are a good team that will stay up.

We will stay up by the skin of our as I predicted before. Ok so we lost to Spurs, The Mancs and Chelsea, but we could have and should have got something from all 3 games. I think all our tough games this season have come in batches where we have been decimated by injuries. The table doesn’t lie, but when you look at West Ham and Southampton yesterday afternoon, would anyone be surprised if they went down with Pardews West Brom?
