I’m not joking... I’m 29! I have never felt so deflated and distraught after a loss in my life. It’s destroyed me.... the passion and desire and the want to win by all the players was emense . I couldn’t fault any of them. PVA had the game of his life, Wan-Bissaka is going to be special. Benteke was back to his old self. Milivojevic fought for everything and won everything.Jimmy Mac was an engine. Sorloth could run a marathon now. Hennessey made a couple of great saves. Kelly was solid. Schlupp had touched of class. Townsend had the best first half I’ve seen from any player And Tomkins had his usual passion, fight and solid game. I’m distraught!!!! This will effect me all week!!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Hardest Defeat To Take Of My Life' by Midlands Eagle Does anyone know how many points we have taken off the top six this season. I mean no one expects lots but.... It must be really poor.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Hardest Defeat To Take Of My Life' by Midlands Eagle Trust me it doesn't get easier as you get older I can still feel the pain of being relegated under Dowie in 2005 but you do recover to get on with your life. I believe the players did all they could but to keep the intensity up was always a big ask and this is where Roy should have made some changes. As much as Roy is doing a good job he lets everyone down with the lack of movement off the bench. Jose made significant changes but Roy as usual just sat there. I don't buy the fact we have no one on the bench either for he has made little changes throughout the year unless though injury. Let's hope we get points from Chelsea.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Hardest Defeat To Take Of My Life' by Midlands Eagle Gutted for an hour or so after the match, then logic started to set in. Like someone said, if not for a world class save and a world class goal, we would have had 3 points. Perm any 1 from 2 and we have a point. Chelski better look out.

It was just like the f***ing cup final all over again. Got United exactly where we wanted them, then failed to close the game out and make a challenge when it mattered. At least we didn't do a stupid dance this time though. Hopefully we will beat that lot at least once before I die. Sorry lads but its my fault . I prayed to the football gods in 1972 to let us beat them once before I die and don't care what happens after that . Really feel guilty about that especially at the two cup finals when with all my pals cheering I knew what was coming ,as I did last night . Sorry again

Jose acted, made good substitutions, Roy didn't even react although the tide had clearly turned. Sorloth was knackered after 70 mins and I expected him to be replaced and a 4-5-1 system put in place. We get over run in midfield week in week out and Jimmy Mac and Luca are run into the ground by the end of a game.

I was gutted when they scored their winner but that was a brilliant game of football in which we really played our part.
