On paper maybe. Or most expensive maybe. But football isn't played on paper is it. And bank balances and wages don't win football matches either.

Strutted around for 4 days, really stung by this result, really really thought we had turned the corner.

Can only imagine what Selhurst was like in the 2nd half.

Really feel for the fans.

Something is not right here...

Just back from the game.
That was horrible.
The worse thing for me was the way so many Palace fans are so quick to turn on their own team. Even a square pass in the face of a packed defence attracted huge moans.
The booing is self-destructive. If you want to demoralise your own team and boost the oppo, that's what you do. It made us fans look poor and fair-weather, light-weights.
I hate it and feel that part of the fans efforts today was worse than what I saw on the pitch.
My friends know I'm Palace, so now I'll be associated with a light-weight bunch of footy fans.
My opinion

I don't agree with booing but to say that we have turned quickly is wide of the mark.
12 months of poor performances and after a glimmer of hope we seem to still be going backwards

We were ponderous and lacked ideas, that's why they were able to have so many players behind the ball.

It really was pathetic.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Hennessey has always been complete dog turd, he has the look of a gormless spineless scared rabbit in front of goal, and inspires zero confidence, and instead instills fear in every Palace fan's heart each time he is starting.

Mandanda is a brilliant keeper, when is he coming back? Speroni can still do a job for us in the meantime. Hennessey is complete s*** though, if we continue to play him we will lose.

This is so true. I'm not a Hennessey hater, and I do not base my comments on this game alone. I sh*t my pants every time the opposition have a free kick anywhere near the area, and so do all the fans around me. We literally cant bear to watch!? Imagine how the players feel. He looks terrified most of the time. Its just typical Mandanda was injured so early. Speroni has had his own howlers in his time but Hennessey does not instil confidence at all. We should have bought Krul and got rid of Hennessy.

Totally agree, like the players, the fans bottled it. It's understandable and it's not because we or the players do not care. I wonder if some in the team care too much and let emotion get in the way of a professional performance.
We are Palace we are the greatest club in the world and we support our team through everything that goes on.

Again, I doubt you know the history of my posts unless you have been profile researching - therefore I take your assumption of my posts being pointless with a heavy pinch of salt.

We resolved the real fan/armchair fan debate in the last two posts. Fair enough, long term supporter.

However, nonsense is as nonsense says, irrelevant of history or allegiance.

I think our little spat on here is small fry compared to the idiot that got arrested for trying to Punch Damien as the team were leaving the pitch. To me that is uncalled for as no fan should attack players even if the team are losing. We should be bigger than that in my opinion and treat it as just a game and we lost.
I hate being at the low point in the league but we still have time to turn it around if BFS can get the players mind set right and all our bickering on here will do the lads no good if they come on and read it.
I apologise if I was near the mark with you and it wont happen again.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Come on lads. Bad day, really really bad day. but if we had of lost 4-0 to Bournemouth and beat Sunderland would it be as bad. Perspective. only 2 points off. Hope Swansea lose tomorrow and it stays 2 points. Big Sam was very honest in his interview after and said "HE WILL" sort this. Can't blame Big Sam when we have had a problem playing at Selhurst for a long time. We have time. Sakho and Milo will now play a part.

WE WILL STAY UP. COYP!!

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

If we are south London's number one, wouldn't want to be in number 2's pants!
