Am I reading this right? People are blaming Pardew for Big Sam's woeful start to his Palace reign? Hilarious

Hilarious Yeah you are and not one or two either a lot of people on here think the rot set in with Pardew, quire right too as it did. Sam thought he was walking into a decent squad, they're not. They are either shot confidence wise, not the right players or big time Charlie's. I put the blame for that squarely in Pardews court.

Yet they played with spirit and desire under him, bad results notwithstanding. What we would give for the players to have some of that back right now.

Granted results weren't brilliant under Pards but not once were we outfought, or did our heads drop when we conceded. We looked like we could score goals and most importantly the players actually gave s***. We look very shot of confidence at the minute

I wouldn't. They were responsible for us being the worse performing team of the 92 in professional football last year. They were truly appalling and your nostalgia is lost on me I'm afraid.

Our defenders just don't attack the ball when it comes into the our box. Its not Sams fault it has been happening all season. Dann, Ward and Delaney are just not the players they were. I don't buy this low on confidence crap, you make your own luck and just don't seem interested.

You have about 45 under Pardew to choose from. You could pick just about any of them, apart from a few where we were unlucky with referee decisions, but you make your own luck, if you've got no confidence and spirit the dice won't roll your way. We've been crumbling under pressure for so long now. Today's game was typical of our play in recent times, nothing's changed but hopefully it will if we can get some decent players, a captain that can do the job and sort out the mess Pardew has left us in. I wasn't particularly happy about Allardyce being brought in, but I was happy to see the back of Pardew, if it had happened sooner I honestly don't think we'd be in this mess. At least BFS seems to be looking at the right new signings, fingers crossed, they can't be as bad a the s***e Pardew brought in.
