The Remy move just makes sense. Now with Cabaye, Adebeyor, the London location.. I'm happy we have brought in proven quality in Adebeyor to be honest, its a bit of a gamble but he has proven himself in the premier league. Remy up top alongside Adebeyor would be great though. Lets hope that can happen! To be honest, I struggle to understand why our current strikers dont get the service, when you look at Zaha, Bolassie, Cabaye, McArthur, albiet the first two need to improve, granted..but still, you would have thought on paper our squad would be more formidable in creating attacking chances and scoring goals then they are.. Our current style is attacking at pace and out wide - which is where most of our chances come from, and hence most go through Zaha and Bolasie (and Puncheon). All of whom need to improve their decision making and final balls. Cabaye (and to a Lesser extent, McArthur) are in there to influence the overall play - Chances do no come from them directly (although they should) Edited by CrazyBadger (27 Jan 2016 2.02pm)

Puncheon is realistically a journeyman-type player who had a very good season last year but has now gone backwards. Zaha frustrates the hell out of me - definitely got the talent to get past players but either underhits or overhits about 90% of his crosses. If I was Pardew I'd have John Salako working one-on-one with Zaha most of every week until he improves.

Leicester already have Vardy, Ulloa and the Japanese guy. He won't be guaranteed football there. Same with Newcastle - their need is for defenders.

There's a lot of frustration surrounding Ulloa at the moment up at Leicester, and they've just loaned Kramaric out. They're in the market for a striker. Hopefully, they sign Eder, leaving Remy available for Palace!

Leicester apparently in with a €10M bid to buy Remy SKY: So if they are turning bids down then they aren't going to sell cheap or at all. I guess it is the game you play to see who is coming in = bidding war. Hopefully we won't get caught up in that.

SKY AGAIN: There have been reports today linking Chelsea with a move for former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. Sky sources are saying Fenerbahce would only sell the Dutchman if they received an "extraordinary offer" - though the player is known to be unhappy in Turkey. The player's representatives say they do not comment on the status of transfers. So Loic is going to fall down the pecking order?

Yep, Zaha is a wonderful talent, but goes for too may shots where crossing is the better option. would be OK if he scored more goals.

In my opinion, that is because he is always played out of position. I think he would be far, far effective on the left where he can beat a few players and cut inside than he is on the right. Zaha wants the glory for himself, and in a way he wouldn't be the player he is without that slight selfishness. He's never gonna be the type to take a full back down the line and whip one in, it's just not him. Was hoping with Bolasie out he'd have more of a consistent run on the other wing but seems I'm the only one who has this view!
We're the Arthur over ere! |
