My opinion is that its all going to plan nicely for Clarkson. But the producer who went to A and E for a fat lip, ???? what a massive wet pussey hole. I had a black eye once of my little girl when she was a baby butted me by accident, did I go to A and E did I fcuk as like. Honestly men today are turning into Women.
What is equally pathetic is the police saying they want to look at it. If two grown men have a row or a fight and neither complain to the police, just keep out of it. Saying this is 'two men having a fight' isn't accurate though. One men was verbally abused and threatened for 30 minutes without retaliating, then physically attacked for 30 seconds until stopped by others, again without retaliating. It's more akin to attacking someone in the street then saying the police shouldn't get involved. For what it's worth the guy didn't and hasn't complained to the police anyway. I said "a row or a fight". It's nothing like attacking someone in the street when the two involved know each other, worked all day with each other etc. I know he didn't complain, the police have taken it upon themselves to stick their noses in. That's the most pathetic part of all. "Police investigate non-complaint". It takes two people to have a fight or row. One man was verbally then physically assaulted without reply. If you know someone and they physically attack you for what is a ridiculous reason, it's really no better than attacking a stranger anyway. Actually, if he'd attacked a stranger instead of a workmate he might still have his job, which is kind of funny to think about. It's no surprise either that the police like easy pickings. They far prefer arresting over something stupid on twitter for instance than dealing with serious crimes. It's all about ticking boxes and league tables unfortunately. You can be as nice a pie, and still have a row with someone or wind them up to breaking point. If he'd attacked a stranger he wouldn't have even got an investigation, and the police would certainly be even more involved. Whether requested or not. Edited by Stuk (26 Mar 2015 4.34pm)
If you attack a stranger and it becomes known about they will investigate it. If you attack your mate and the police find out about it, it will be investigated. With the amount of witnesses and prolonged nature of this row, then assault, it was absolutely always going to get out anyway, hence investigated by either the BBC or the police. Clarkson should've known this, there's no excuse. We should be sorry for the guy who got attacked above all else. Verbally abused and threatened with the sack, then assaulted and later receives countless death threats online and has his reputation damaged through no fault of his own. Edited by imbored (26 Mar 2015 4.44pm) Two people can have a row, while only one is abusive. You can keep calling it an attack or an assault all you like if you really feel the need to. Tymon has called it "a regrettable incident" and not used hyperbole. The police should investigate complaints to them, not any old incident if neither party want them to and one they've only heard of through the media. The people abusing him are out of order. They're not privvy to what happened either and it won't change a thing. I'm calling it an attack or assault because that's clearly what it was. I definitely agree with your police comment, but it comes back to the easy pickings point. The police love investigating stuff like this. It's high profile and nice and safe for them. You're beginning to sound like the type of person who would go to A&E about a fat lip. Not even the victim is calling it that. Incident, spat, row, fracas. Many options have been made available, by those who were actually there.
I've never said he wasn't. You can be a victim even in an accident though. To go back to an earlier comparison. Do you think Jedi attacked or assaulted Sakho?

The main difference being that in the Clarkson case the immediate reaction from many was that we should just forget about it altogether and it should come to nothing. There are consequences to actions. Whether that's a four match ban and FA charge of violent conduct or not having your contracted renewed. Realistically if Clarkson plays his cards right this will actually benefit his career anyway not harm it. They did him a favour. He just needs to hold it together mentally. Following Mr Tymon's decision not to press charges, North Yorkshire Police said the force was still investigating the incident. A spokesman said: "Inquiries are ongoing." The same from the producer. The police however are still being knobs.

The police however are still being knobs. Assault allegations do not require someone to pursue charges, only that an assault occurred. The whole 'pressing charges' is a cultural invasion from the US. Violent crimes do not require a victim to pursue them, its generally beneficial to the case, as the victim is usually one of the better witnesses. Often in assault determining who should press charges can be tricky, and sometimes its necessary to pursue charges without the victim (who can still be forced to give evidence under oath - facing perjury if they lie). The police are also not allowed to discuss any investigation, other than to say things like 'enquiries are ongoing', where charges may be pursued now or at a later date. Doing so prejudices any trial.

The level of arrogance of those working in television is unreal. c***s like Clarko literally think that normal employment rules don't apply to them, and they can treat staff however they please. Stuff like this happens regularly (although it's usually verbal) and if you are freelance and stand up for yourself, you will find yourself struggling to find employment. This Oisin guys reputation will be in tatters in this antiquated industry, and this incident will follow him around for years, despite it being crystal clear it's just Clarkson being a petulant (fat) child, boohoo-ing over hot food.

Is there anything more pitiful than sending death threats to someone from behind a keyboard? Over what? The perception that a man got your favourite TV program cancelled?! Get a f***ing life.

Actually he's been given a promotion since. I only know this through TV production type mates but you've just basically made assumptions on the pretext of having a dig.
