Just looking through tonight's fixtures, I'm most tempted by:

Celtic v Dundee United
Aldershot v Northampton
Brentford v Orient

Odds: 9/2

Northampton are pretty strong. Aldershot will struggle to beat them

Is that your selection because there are hardly any fixtures to select from? Seriously, Aldershot to win vs Northampton is a punt. They are at home so you may well be right and scoop 9/2 if that's the odds for all 3 BUT, there's a full fixture list in 4 days time.

Their away form is a bit suspect, and Aldershot have been very strong at home recently.

Rotherham's home away form looks over recent months like win half and lose half. Hardly suspect really and that's why they're 5th. Aldershot have had a couple of weeks of decent results but apart from that, they're 21st for a reason. It's actually Aldershot who are patchy.

Do you want to risk your money tonight based on a couple of weeks backing your theory on 1 team, and a bit of a selective analysis of the other team to fit your backing on the other team? Just saying. Your money.

Here's one:

Hartlepool v BOURNEMOUTH 10/11

That with Celtic 1/3 and Brentford 4/6 is 3.25/1

Probably better to wait for Saturday with 40 odd fixtures.

Northampton's last 6 away results:

Chesterfield 3 - 0 Northampton
Torquay 1 - 1 Northampton
Oxford 2 - 1 Northampton
Accrington 2 - 4 Northampton
York 1 - 1 Northampton
Barnet 4 - 0 Northampton

Aldershot have only lost 1 in 9, and have won 3 on the bounce at home.

N'Hampton have won 1 and drawn 2 of those last 6 away games.

2 of Aldershot's wins were in the FA Cup and 3 of them were draws.

I'd call that in the balance. Maybe worht a bet, or wait till the weekend. Good luck with it, midweek lower league fixtures in the freezing cold and all that.

Which means they've lost 3. Losing 3 out of 6 is what I'd call 'suspect'. I've not said any more or less than that.

Losing 1 in 9, irrespective of what competition, is still good form.

I don't know what justification there is for the arrogant, belittling way you see fit to type on this thread, but it's rather unnecessary.

I think you've misunderstood. For a start I'm not being arrogant (but if you want to think that then I can't stop you), I'm pointing out that this isn't really a sure thing, which is what you're more likely to find if you wait 4 days, but it's your money so your's to risk. The other thing is if you're betting on wins, whether they lose or a draw it's irrelevantm they didn't win, obviously. If they don't get the win, the acca is a loss. Man City, Swindon and Donny at the weekend were about as nailed on as you can get. So were a good few of the others, which is why that bet seems hasty. You could pick Celtic and Brentford and add it to weekend fixtures. I might myself thinking about it. Although Bournemouth are hot atm.

You come across as very arrogant in your last couple of posts on this thread, but I'm happy to assume it's unintentional.

I've never claimed it to be a sure thing, surely betting can never be a sure thing, you weigh up the likelihood of something happening against the odds given. In this case, at 9/2 I think it's a decent bet for the reasons I've given.
