Only now?! Next we’ll be being given the earth shattering insight (for the umpteenth time!) that not all transfers are simple and some occasionally don’t happen for one reason or another. Didn’t Charles Caleb Colton once say ‘When you have nothing to say, say nothing’. With respect, my comments about targets not 'Getting over the line' have been taken out of context. These were made when certain posters were pilloried and ridiculed for providing details which never came to fruition and I tried to offer an explanation by asserting that this whole transfer business can be protracted, complex, frustrating and can end in abject disappointment.

The only explanation is that they were full of it so lets drop it and move on. There is just over 3 hrs remaining of the deadline...then we can put this to bed for 3 months. Bear in mind Willo that the comments you are trying to defend went a little like this... Benrahma signing on Monday, you heard it here first, trust me watch this space. All while Roy said the club weren't even in talks with Brentford. It was all complete and utter BS! So far I have only read links to Butland and Sarr. There has been a tweet about Sarr likely staying at Watford.

OK, so 4 official offers have been made today, Butland, Sarr x2 and 1 other. I've tried my best but I can't prise a name for the 3rd target.

There's no room In fairness Cahill, Tomkins, Schlupp and PVA have all returned to training. I don't know how match fit they can be with a weeks training mind. It's good news for us though to have those back as they some of our best players.

Its crazy that every window i get this little bit of hope that "this will be the window" and to be fair this window started well with Eze but yet again, our owners have short arms and long pockets. We got a crocked defender, a great no10 that gets dumped out wide and striker that sits on the bench. Another season of blurgh incoming.

The new signings will be phased in don't panic.
