This don't blame him malarkey is just plain nonsense. He has not kept us up single handedly the team collectively has.

He has also been rewarded beyond what should be his wildest dreams for representing the club. Every summer he allegedly wants to leave. Who says that? His agent who only gets paid if he moves or signs a new contract.

Guessing he has maxed out his contract opportunities at Selhurst. If he wants to leave then as with most players loyalty means f all. He can leave on the clubs terms as he only signed a huge contract a year ago. If he doesn't he needs to say so. None of this whinging baby act put about by those around him.

Manchester evening news reporting Man Utd have bid £62 million for Aubameyang which Means if Arsenal accept will give them the funds to buy Wilf.

I feel Wilf will be gone very soon.

Mr Zaha needs to understand that when you sign a 5 year contract that makes you very rich, then you have to honour it.
He either wants a pay rise or a move. I'd offer him a rise and tell him that he will not be sold unless our price is met.
Wilf with 4 years on his contract, in his prime and with a hefty sell on clause must be worth in the region of 100 million.
That is what I would be looking for for the next two years. If the board has any balls, they will think the same.

What happens from here on in is going to be interesting.

Player power is very influential in the game now.

None of the other big clubs have shown an interest so I can’t see him leaving unless he goes abroad. Weren’t Dortmund supposed to be interested at some point?

I wouldn't, he's already banking more than he'd probably get elsewhere & pretty sure in a bigger pond his guaranteed start would not be so guaranteed. Understand his ambition & I'd be sad to see him leave but, there's others out there, let him go & lets all move on.

I’m pretty sure when Wilf signed a 5 year deal it benefits both parties, he gets a bigger wad of cash and his transfer value increases. Just surprised there is no formal release clause if a valuation is hit written in.

If as is now being reported he has told the club he wants to leave, does this mean he has put in a transfer request and if so does this mean we have less financial obligations to him?

Maybe there was 'an understanding' between the two parties when he signed as he could easily have run down his previous contract and then what, would you have been happy that he walked for nothing but at least he honoured his contract?

It's a two-way street.
