Back to the seventies? Another line from the MSM.

A more equal society, affordable council homes for all, investment in infrastructure leading to job growth, community investment schemes, better relations between workers and their bosses, investing in green and renewable technologies, support for small businessesand entrepreneurs, a decent living wage for all.

f***ing lefties wanting all of this.

You have been "wanting" this sort of stuff for decades and yet when you were in government you suddenly forgot.

Ooops!

I wasn't in government!
Corbyn represents what I and many have believed / yearned for for years. A refreshing change.

A feeble diversion. It's easy to make such proposals when a party is in opposition for the foreseeable future.

We all have our dreams but most of us are smart enough to realise that they are just fantasy.

I was quite a few ages over that ten year period . Born in 69.

Is it presumptive of me to think you are now going to ask don't you remember the chaos caused by unions then?
1. The unions did hold a lot of sway and got ideas above their station.
2. It was 40 years ago, unions have changed. In my experience, the best schools to work in are those that have a strong union group that works with school leadership. The model in Germany I'd a good one from my understanding.
3. The whole 'return to the seventies' argument is a false one used to divert away from the fact that it's in the interest of 'the few' to preserve the status quo. That is why there are so many s*** arguments against Corbyn. They don't like him because he represents a threat to the status quo.How many articles actually argue against Corbyn's policies rather than the kind of anti Corbyn rhetoric we see parroted by people?

Shouldn't those proposals be what we as a nation aspire to. You may want to shrug your shoulders and say 'well that's life. Live with it' but I'm prepared to fight and campaign for what I believe in.

Well worth pointing out that many "lefties" have sound idealogical and evidence-based reasons for regarding Blair and his corrupt government as betrayers of the Labour movement and as destroyers of social mobility. I'm yet to vote Labour in my life, although that may well change.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Some of the playground bollox on this thread demeans its posters, but this is wisdom. Wanting a more equal society and wanting to improve the lot of the average citizen seem utterly sensible tenets to me.
