According to reports he has either submitted a transfer request or verbally told the club he wants to leave. Very disappointing. IF he has, then he will forfeit his loyalty bonus which does make a transfer more achievable for all parties. I would be surprised if he has though. All I've seen is Sky trying to make out that Arsenal bidding for another player is some sort of Derren Brown lower your price tactic which clearly won't work.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Don't blame him. He's stayed long enough and kept us up. We've shown f*** all ambition since being promoted so good luck to him. Hope he gets a move to a top club. We ain't a one man team but without Bissaka and Zaha I think we will finally go down this season. Edited by DeanMiles (18 Jul 2019 4.52pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle He’s been tremendous for us but let’s not forget that we’ve also been tremendous for him. Have to say that him agitating like this to go to Arsenal when a few months ago it was all about champions league football leaves a very bitter taste in the month. Arsenal’s derisory bid has massively rocked the boat and I hope we don’t sell to them under any circumstances now.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Just my opinion, if Wilf wants out then we should make every effort to secure the best deal but let him go. He has done brilliant for us but has been well rewarded by the club. Just don't want him disrupting pre-season, so cheers Wilf and good luck!!

That Guardian article was written a fortnight ago, so is hardly the latest news.

Edited by DeanMiles (18 Jul 2019 4.52pm) I think the year we spent big on Benteke and then Sakho was fairly ambitious. Benteke blew up in our faces though.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle 2nd part of 2 tweets: ‘Arsenal is Zaha's personal preference but even if he doesn’t move there, it won't stop him wanting to play on the biggest stages. He wants to prove to himself that he can be the biggest player at a big club 2/2’ He may want to but it needs a buyer, to get close. Then it’ll get interesting and serious. Not until then.
