Lets be honest, nobody is going to get everything they want.

For the 'burn it all to the ground and then build it from scratch' mob any agreement is a betrayal. And for the Remonaer bitch-boys, then any case for rejoining would be kicked into the grass for I guess most of our life times.

Personally, I loathe the stench of 'compromise' but also have enough self-awareness to know I can have a screw loose when it comes to this subject.

Its done. We left the EU, and we have a trade agreement of sorts.

But we still have two rotten and corrupt political parties dominating our system, both in thrall to corporate interests and third-parties who do not care a jot for the UK populace.

Nobody wins whilst that is still in place.

Fair.

Talking of loathing - the constant highlighting of fishing being the be all and end all is infuriating. I get that it’s a political hot potato, probably as it involves discussions around territory and therefore is easy to over simplify as an us and them topic (which the media and simpletons love) - but the actual economic value of it all is almost insignificant. The quota system is a joke and has been easily manipulated, but 0.02% of GDP. Again, 0.02%. I think there are bigger fish to fry, personally.

Farage chirping up about it amuses me - especially when you consider That apparently over the three years that he was a member of the European Parliament Fisheries Committee, he attended just one out of 42 meetings. Dedicated.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

The fish question was always primarily symbolic rather than any real economic significance and as a nation, sadly in my opinion because the delights of freshly caught mackerel are terribly underestimated, we don't really 'do' fish in the same way that Europe does.

And long been concerned that the issue is used by all sides to distract from the real meat and gristle of the deal. But time will tell. Lets see.

Sounds delightful.

Personally, I have simpler tastes and ideally will have them grilled on the BBQ or, if not possible, wrapped in foil and baked in the oven before being drizzed with olive oil, seasoned with freshly ground sea-salt and then a cheeky squeeze of fresh lemon.

A little taste of heaven!

Once Brexit is done the next challenges in no particular order are:

- Abolish The House Of lords
- British Bill of Rights and responsibilities to replace the "Uman" Rights Court.
- Defund the BBC
- Reform Asylum process.
- Define the role and power of the PM
- More transparency in appointing judges and and their performance.
- National Infrastructure board with cross party support.

Plenty to get on with.

The power of the PM. Less or more and has covid planted this thought?

If they've reached agreement on fishing, what's the catch?

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

I am still upset over the Supreme Court decision where they ruled that Boris broke the law even though there was no law to break. The SC should have thrown the case out and told Parliament it should define the PM's roles and responsibilities.

To stop an unelected body hijacking our constitution Parliament should legislate to resolve this issue otherwise it is likely to happen again and yes Boris has been playing fast and loose with Parliament.
