If we make any bids today we are trying it on otherwise why wait until the last moment. I guess we are hoping that the other clubs panic and agree to drop their prices. Don't get me wrong if we pick up a couple of bargains then it's good business but if these were key targets we should have started this long ago. Anyway it's a game of poker let's hope the other guy blinks. COYP.

The bean counters may ' sanction ' bids, but if the bids are nowhere near the selling clubs asking price then it's immaterial.
