Called it! Both sides wanted to paint the 'shrewd negotiator' picture until the dying hours, and whatever turd is now delivered will be declared a triumph. Let's just hope after all of this time its not a lopsided worse case scenario.

Yep

Sounds like the EU are happy with it and it will be a case of the UK government selling it to the tory MP's.
Draw your own conclusions as to who has come out on top of this "negotiation".

As things stand, MPs will have no basis for voting on a Bill at all, because they will scarcely have had time to have read it, let alone properly to consider it.

The ERG is to re-form its “Star Chamber” to read the Treaty, and they are right to assert that the text should be released as soon as possible.

Will read it before casting judgment however of we get free trade with the EU whilst regaining control of our boarders courts fishing ect i will support it. Free trade will secure our jobs that the removers were so fearful of losing if we keep that whilst the having the ability to negotiate world wide trade deals the only thing they lose is freedom of movement ect which no brexit voter would have supported. I reckon a lot of remainers will just be disappointed in how little the damage will be in the long term which is sad.

If you think fishing was bad wait for the financial sector next year.

brexit paranoia is part of British life, leaving has only made it worse.

Lets be honest, nobody is going to get everything they want.

For the 'burn it all to the ground and then build it from scratch' mob any agreement is a betrayal. And for the Remonaer bitch-boys, then any case for rejoining would be kicked into the grass for I guess most of our life times.

Personally, I loathe the stench of 'compromise' but also have enough self-awareness to know I can have a screw loose when it comes to this subject.

Its done. We left the EU, and we have a trade agreement of sorts.

But we still have two rotten and corrupt political parties dominating our system, both in thrall to corporate interests and third-parties who do not care a jot for the UK populace.

Nobody wins whilst that is still in place.

Let's be honest we have consistently been waiting for these prophecies of doom to come to fruition yet they never do.

Once Brexit is done the next challenges in no particular order are:

- Abolish The House Of lords
- British Bill of Rights and responsibilities to replace the "Uman" Rights Court.
- Defund the BBC
- Reform Asylum process.
- Define the role and power of the PM
- More transparency in appointing judges and and their performance.
- National Infrastructure board with cross party support.

Plenty to get on with.

There has never been a better time in British politics for a new party to be created. The thing is, it would have to start virtually from scratch because as soon as it got vaguely successful there would be an attempt to scurry across by the same idiots from existing parties that we are trying to get rid of and the cycle would continue.

Personally, I think I will help myself to a large slice of defunding the BBC with a side order of more transparency in appointing judges and their performance.

In terms of desert going a little off-menu and am undecided about whether to choose a cheeky little bowl of English Independence or stick with the familiar steamed pudding of defending the Union.

With the contrarian in me even thinking of pushing for a veritable smorgasbord of a non-EU centred campaign for full-on European Federalism, embracing our Slavic Russian cousins, to include a single language, legal system and last of all, given how these things are meant to evolve, a joint currency.

However, I still have a lot to digest and suspect that I might still have to suffer a little Brexit induced indigestion as it might take a while to keep down the current dish of the day and stop the retching, at least in public.

A balanced take. I'm perhaps being pre-emptively overly negative given that we don't even know the ins and outs of the deal yet. The government haven't exactly given us much reason to believe they're shrewd operators though, at least not when it relates to our interests.
