Gutted. Any deal with the EU is a bad deal. As simple as that.

Called it! Both sides wanted to paint the 'shrewd negotiator' picture until the dying hours, and whatever turd is now delivered will be declared a triumph. Let's just hope after all of this time its not a lopsided worse case scenario.

The devil is in the detail. The media are reporting that the EU will have a 5 year tailing off period for fishing rights and that after that the UK is free to negotiate what it likes. If that is true I am fine with that it gives the EU time to look at their own fleet whilst the UK is able to increase it's catch. Unlike the EU I don't believe in punishing the other side. Anyway the fishing issue is a distraction I am more interested in the level playing field and who gets to decide if we have broken the rules. The EU wanted the ECJ to be the judge and they would be the only ones able to bring a complaint, a one sided deal. If we get an independent arbitration process which also allows us to complain if the EU breaks the rules I am fine with that. And we need the flexibility to be able to set our own rules and laws. There is bound to be some give here by the government I guess it all depends on what they have surrendered. As for how it will go down. Remainers: "Told you so it isn't a good a deal as if we stayed" Brexiteers "Sell out this isn't Brexit" Uncommitted "Thank god, is it over?"
