Sky saying drawing up a new shortlist and want a manager in place by 5th July when the few players we have return. How many lists is that the place must be papered with them. As for having somebody in place in 10 days it’s seems a tall order judging by previous experience.

This has gone beyond embarrassing. Two deals with exciting managers, only to have them pull the rug out at the last second, twice. Grossly unprofessional business by NES, LF, and CPFC. We've wasted a month, and are back to the same boring, flawed, second rate managers we didn't want in the first place, and who probably don't really want us. And oh by the way, whoever takes over, if anyone ever takes this job, will have to make a last minute and uninformed decision about keeping or dumping half our roster. Then after that, they will have no money to buy new players. And our best player will likely be gone. Other than that, things are going great. Honestly, if I knew this was going to happen, I'd rather have endured another year of Roy. Now that we know we won't get a good manager, I'd go with Dyche, because at least he knows the league, and is used to trying to win with no money.

Maybe during his negotiation period he was made aware of the potential restrictions/consequences as he doesn't seem to have managed in the UK before and decided that he didn't want the extra hassle as I'm sure he has a network of players on the continent that he was planning to call upon. What is it with this club? Why everything we try always seems to turn into a joke? Are we cursed or what hell is this?

Parish has quoted that the next manager doesn't have to have PL management experience. Klinsmann fits that bill as Nuno looks like he's high up on Tottenham's list of suitors and Palace would keep Klinsmann in London, where he played and looks like he wants to be after showing interest in the Tottenham position himself. I reckon, if we change our name to "Pant Wetters United", or "Drama Rovers", we'll be much better placed to attract a manager. Just my tuppence....
We'd have to change our kit to white shirts and yellow shorts.

He would certainly bring some much needed enthuasim to the touch line.

Would be an interesting appointment, we would certainly get media attention

Edited by Orange1290 (25 Jun 2021 2.57pm) That is a possibility but unless he has been doing an impression of hear/see/speak no evil over the last months/years he must have been aware. More articles are suggesting it was transfer funds but I would have thought that would have been discussed early on. As I have said before I doubt we will ever know the true reason, unless he gets another job soon
