Once again forgot Scott Banks!

Highly rated close to first team and very young. That is precisely what we were screaming for all last season.

Wasn't he signed in the previous window?

Good housekeeping and caution is Parish’s thinking and what keeps Roy in the job- Is a positive signing in Eze a back up short term signing of Clyne , Batshuayi on loan and retaining a reluctant Zaha going to be enough to cut the mustard and pacify the doubters - the next 5 games will provide every indication

I think we've had a decent window and we still have money to spend should the right deal become available.

I don't blame the club for not going for Brewster on those terms, matching the Villa bid for Watkins or prioritising Bats over Gallagher.

I don't see any value in Benharama at the values being touted/blame Palace for deeming that kind of price tag an unacceptable risk.

From the domestic leagues, I think the only players I'd be interested in at this stage if the price was right would be Sarr or Brooks. Cantwell, Will Hughes or Billing maybe but with the formation we're currently using, right sided midfielder would be my priority.

1. Not losing Wilf together with the new signings means we not only have a full 25 man squad but a stronger squad, so that's good.
2. Clyne currently is a short term fix and much will depend on what game time he gets between now and January. He may prove to have been a good 'buy' but I reckon that Eze will prove to have been an excellent purchase if we can keep him long enough. I reckon sooner or later one of the big clubs will be making moves for him.
3. Several Championship clubs are (apparently) already in significant financial trouble according Risdale - we can all probably guess at the six or so clubs he has in mind. As Palace fans we know only too well where bad financial management leads us, and whatever one thinks of Parish, he isn't going to let us go there again.
4. We've addressed some of our problems. there is a danger in trying to solve all your problems at once - think Fulham in their previous promotion, Villa last season. Also throwing money at the problem doesn't work as Man U have found out to their cost and Bournemouth who overpaid for several players before being relegated.
5. Finally saying we're in a great place is overstating it IMO. We're in a good place (for Palace that is) but not only do we have to see this season through in safety, we've also got to manage the pile of contracts due to end next summer so as to get the best outcome for the club I do expect some transfer activity next window in preparation for that.

Agree with this. Slight concern that Wilf hasn’t lived up to what we all know he is capable of.
If Wickham is off to Derby (as is being reported) then bringing in a striker- even a released Welbeck would improve the bench imo.

Sorry I meant to say we are in a great place if Roy can truly work out how to integrate and get the best out of Meyer. He is a great player. That is blindingly obvious.

Probably not if nothing else happens. Who's places are Batschuayi and Eze going to take?

Did we actually retain a sulky Zaha or did no-one else want him at the huge wage level that he was demanding?

It may not be popular but I’d rather have Sturridge over Welbeck, if he’s still available.

I suggest you take a look to see how many strikers got 20+ last season, or the seasons before. And consider what one might realistically cost.

You have to find the talent at the right price, look at Ian Wright and Jamie vardy as fine examples, they are out there you just need the scouting network to find them and maybe we even given one away this season!

I really don’t think Meyer is that great. Sure he does some things very well, but he does some other things very averagely. It was always a question mark that none of the top-half teams in Europe wanted him.

He may go on to do well elsewhere but for me he’s £20m of signing on fee wasted. Would take a free transfer to get his wages off the bill.

Vive le Roy!

OK, 3 bids have been sanctioned. Sarr and two others. Afraid I can't get her to release any further information. Today could be interesting.. Standby
