I take a different view with regards the EU. It is inherently corrupt and the EU is neither one thing nor the other. It is not a superstate and not a common market. The result is that we are exposed to vanity and the excesses of an elite who will pour taxpayers money into their pet projects, such as the Euro, which was created off of the back of, at best, dubious financial data. We have voted to free ourselves from this. This is surely better for the country and the next generation.

However, I still believe we never leave the EU. Prepare yourself for a new deal and another vote in the next 12 months. Britain will vote for that.

My daughter tells me that the proportion of over 65s that voted out was very high. As they are the generation with Defined Benefit pensions, lots of them had little to lose.

Whereas the proportion of younger people voting out was low. Yet again young people pick up the pieces from the selfishness of the old. If we were going to gamble with their future, the least we could have done is allowed 16 year olds, who tend to be pretty well informed, to vote.

I went to Morrisons today to do my shopping and the cashier asked this foreign couple in front of me if they wanted help packing their bags. I thought f***, this is happening quicker than I expected!
