No, I think we've had more than enough time. We know what's out there and we could have interviewed a half-dozen shortlist three times over by now. There isn't some perfect fit, that ticks all the boxes twice over, that we've somehow missed up until now. There is what there is and we need to recruit the one who most closely meets our criteria so that we can get on with all the things we urgently need to do. Hopefully it'll be concluded soon and not same old same playing catch up with not only player recruitment but new manager assessiya of them first. Love to make it difficult for ourselves and starting with a handicap don't we? It's as if it's boring having it all in shape in July, just like a gambler gets as much a thrill of losing, just a different kind of thrill.

I agree. Just throwing his name out. Bound to be in the bookies odds shortly. Ed maylon mentioned about considering a couple other names for the palace job.

I bet a decision on the manager has been made. However it may be subject to some final checks then SP will tell everyone when he is good and ready. Same as he always does.

We seem unable to balance care in the process against the opportunity cost of taking too long to make decisions.

Joe Hart looks angrier than a kid with no Easter eggs, David Silva looks like he won't smile for a week. Vincent Kompany has taken his shirt off and looks like he might just start a fight with himself. The visiting dressing room will be a glum place. |

A decision on who? I'd hope that, after three weeks, we'd be able to make a choice between the available candidates.

We have had enough time now to appoint a new manager.
