Critics said while the deal may be of symbolic importance it would boost UK GDP by only 0.07%, a fraction of the trade that could be lost with the EU. I think that's more accurate....

This simply was not meant to having. Our leaving the EU meant that any and every nation could offer whatever terms they wanted and we have next to no choice in just accepting it. Now I accept that the Devil is in the detail but given the muted response from the R2 retards I think this might just be a bit of coup for Johnson and co. Edited by Matov (11 Sep 2020 1.29pm)

Try not to get carried away. It is only replacing what we already had. The chances of Japanese consumers buying into British are remote, they don't even buy their own stuff if they can help it.
Is it replacing what we already had? Surely any previous deal involved the EU

It is of course ridiculous, pointless and most inaccurate to compare one trade deal with Japan to all EU trade. Edited by georgenorman (11 Sep 2020 1.56pm)

Brexit is a leap into the complete unknown. Well a hop into what Britain was like for a few hundred years, rather than the last twenty five.

Claims out there that European MEP's will veto any agreement unless the UK stops the proposed legislation to circumvent the WA. LOL. Dopey b******s are falling the it. Happy f***ing days. There never was a deal possible with Brussels. Better we don't waste anymore time on the illusion that there could be.

It changes the process used. It gives us easier access to digital as well. No more snooping from the EU. It will also open the market to the Pacific areas via japan. The 0.07 is direct with japan not the associated countries and areas.

Isn't brexit great? Just look what its doing for Kent, the 'Garden of England' Actually not a garden so much as a giant lorry-park. And to get there you can apply for a special pass-port after a few hours form-filling. At the barrier you speak 'brexit means brexit' into the intercomm it only costs 10 euros (sterling not accepted). And it miraculously lifts recognising a true brexiteer. Now you are completely in control.......
