It just demonstrates the complete lack of understanding and integrity in the group of hardline "Brexit at all costs" who hang around here. Yes, we have left, so it cannot be "cancelled" but with the 2016 referendum result now demonstrably compromised any responsible government would ensure that it be reversed. The fact is that Mrs May had been given a report by GCHQ which suggested that the referendum result could not be trusted and recommended re-running it. She bottled it and decided the political consequences were too high. Look at where that has ended up? A government led by Johnson, controlled by Cummings, and headed towards a no deal final exit. You may think the ship has sailed but it's not over the horizon and it's back in the sights. With the opposition now led by a sensible politician who gives the appearance of trustworthiness a few years in the wilderness means nothing. I am telling you! We will be back and today marks the day when the turning point was reached. I notice you ignored my question

So the Commission now has powers to levy taxes. Little by little that frog gets boiled. Don't let it be said these federalist supranationalists never let a disaster get in the way of "more EUrope". The more the tighten their grip, the more democracy slips through their fingers.

We will be back and today marks the day when the turning point was reached. I declare that henceforth July 21st will be known as Wisbech Eagle Day. After the referendum is cancelled and we re-join the EU those of us who who refused to believe will have to mark this day annually by bowing our heads in shame. I understand that the fightback has already started in Truro where the local Remain branch will start holding weekly meetings in the local phone box.

There was a good article in the Guardian about what went wrong in the EU over the virus response, up to a point it all made sense e.g. national self interest and not giving a damn about their neighbours plight. It then went off the rails with the conclusion that the solution was for the Commission to take more power away from the national governments. They never miss a trick.

Yup says it all. A major loss of sovereignty and yet none of these countries think their voters deserve to have a say in it. I notice that now that we have gone Holland is fast becoming the bad boy of the EU as part of the frugal four / five. I have said this for years that the UK was the whipping boy because whilst some of the other countries agreed with us about certain things they were content to remain silent and let us take all the flack. These countries can no longer hide behind Britannia's skirts so maybe we were not as out of step as some would like us to believe. The funny thing is that Italy looked like it was going to be the next breakaway country but because they are so desperate for money suddenly they are right back in the fold. Anyway not our problem any more if they want their superstate they are welcome to it.

It is mere window dressing to divert attention away from what this supposed fund is all about i.e propping up French and German banks. However, I am always willing to scoff humble pie if proven wrong.
