If I move to Australia (I already did but moved back) I can bring my immediate family. Why are we letting extended families move here? Who is that helping? Not the people already here, that's for sure. I hope all that is over immediately - if there is a six month/twelve month delay, expect a deluge. Not that the media or government will mention it.

Remember they told us the major companies will leave Britain and there will be thousands of job losses? Strangely, I couldn't find this story on mainstream media... [Tweet Link]

This is the industry my daughter works in, believe me it is not going anywhere and is very much going to remain UK based

- Evidence of Russian interference in Scottish Independence referendum (in favour of SNP) Oh dear, what will the narrative be now? It was all down to the Russians, wasn't it?

I seem to remember one former member of this board was convinced that the referendum was fixed by the Russians and their Brexit allies. When this story first broke I predicted it was not the smoking gun that the Remainers and pro Corbyn supporters thought it would be that in fact it would be a bit of a damp squid. We will see today who was right from what I heard so far I don't understand why this was not released at the time. Edited by Badger11 (21 Jul 2020 6.30am)

The EU has agreed a bailout deal with it's member countries I am more interest in the fallout two things to look for in the near future: 1. Rumour is that an EU wide tax will be created to help pay for this, signifiant because it will be the EU instead of member states that controls it. 2. What impact will this have on the Brexit talks it is in no one's interest not to have a trade deal so will this soften the EU's position?

The EU 750bn euros virus protection fund does not bear any comparison to the UKs world-beating offer of a cheap meal in August and mass unemployment.

I would love to know how this money is eventually spent in the EU. I bet the mafia are rubbing their hands with glee.

If it is an effective EU wide tax imposed on individuals accross the entire 27 and managed from Brussels then it is a huge development. And perhaps the first major decision the EU has taken that would not have happened if the UK had remained inside it. But lets see. As to the second, then I suspect not a lot really. They will progress as they progress and there is a lot of smoke and mirrors about at the moment.
