If only 1 MP gets the 100 nominations required, they’ll become PM on Monday. Thanks.

Interesting. So it is 100 nominations to be put forward for a vote by the members? Candidates require 100 nominations to stand in the Leadership contest, accordingly in theory there could be 3 MPs who reach at threshold.Conversely there could be only 1 who reaches that figure with a few under that total. Should 2 candidates go forward then there is an indicative vote of MPs followed by a binding vote of the party membership with the result announced on Friday 28th October.

You'd think after all this seemingly endless faffing Tory MPs might have enough common sense to nominate ONE person who would then become PM. Surely, they are not seriously going to consider the buffoon Boris again? Get the effing job done with the minimum of fuss and start governing the country properly ... or just get out now and call a General Election.

They wouldn"t vote for the man they sacked 6 weeks ago for being a dishonest . lying , Eton mess, would they?

Thank you for the clarification.

Let's hope that it's just the one so that the deciding vote isn't given to the elderly buffoons to mess up again

People seem to have forgotten Boris Johnson knowingly appointed an MP who had claims of sexual misconduct upheld against him, to a senior political position. He joked about it as he made the appointment. Said appointment then committed sexually inappropriate behaviour again. Do we really want someone with judgement like back at the Prime Minister?
