I'm just being honest, I think you have issues. But let's get back to the election. I don't want to spend time attacking you. If I'm frank I don't even know why you're wasting your time doing this when surely there are better things to be getting on with considering your health.
As my health is currently in a "wait and see" phase anything that keeps me occupied and my brain busy is useful. But thanks for the concern, which I know is genuine. Why I did this, as with many other things, is to try to correct a misrepresentation or misunderstanding. In this particular case it was not simply a difference of opinion but a factual error that unless corrected could have stood in some minds for some time. Which could have been embarrassing. Now we both that Fox News continues to be owned by Murdoch a discussion on why he appears to be dropping him will indeed be worthwhile. Which is where I actually started a few pages ago.

Bit antagonistic WE. As we speak, the very outcome of the Brexit talks hangs by a thread on fishing rights and there's you thumbing your nose at those hard-working negotiators by ploughing your own furrow and setting out your own personal quotas. Unless you're going to give your catch to a fellow French or Spanish fisherman, of course. It's rare that they are there and those that are tend to be under sized and returned anyway. I normally fish for mackerel in the summer months. Single lure, very light line and only take what I need. No fishing today though. The dog was too playful and demanded attention. Plenty of folk on the beach though. It was very still and calm and some were swimming without wetsuits. Including my dog!

As a matter of fact I do suffer with poor eyesight, due to possibly the onset of molecular degeneration ( hereditary) but you go ahead and criticise Tom-the-eagle for his comments about you, without any thought of your comments to others. Edited by Spiderman (30 Nov 2020 2.53pm) I am sorry to learn about your eyes and ask forgiveness if my sarcasm was hurtful. I will admit I was recently wrong in that "other" thread! I thought that the other posters were being serious but it turns out that all they wanted was a slanging match full of ad hominem when their views were challenged. So I was wrong. Whether they are getting near the mark depends on the moderator and not me, but you may well be right.

But yeah, back onto the matter at hand Been imagining what might happen when the Donald gets cut loose and needs to start dealing with debts coming due, potential lawsuits, god knows what else... Interestingly I did not realise that ex presidents are also entitled to some level of security briefings. Trump obviously has loads of knowledge stored up in that orangery of his that could be very useful to him if cornered, or, perhaps more unlikely, should he need to make some significant cash to service his 500m or so of loans. I suppose he will be coining it in by creating his own news subscription service or partnering/owning newsmax etc, asking for donations (like he is now) but that can only get you so far. It is really fascinating to think about what he's going to do when he loses the protection of the presidency. How he's going to react, what's going to come out, or not come out. Finally getting to see his tax returns, the IRS etc. Then amongst all that he's obviously going to go about trying to destroy the political system and replace it with some sort of commercial dictatorship. Although ironically that really exists already, just in a more passive guise. He's certainly building a substantial slush fund on the back of the "donations" he is harvesting to "stop the steal". I didn't realise that he can do that and include in the small print that if it doesn't get spent on legal costs it can be used for whatsoever he wishes. If he really is that wealthy why do that? My instinct is that he knows that there are many cases which will need to be fought next year and that the funds aren't there to do it. Who will lend to him now? I suspect the Trump brand is mortally wounded at the high end. Would you now choose to stay at a Trump hotel? I once stayed at the Doral golf resort just outside Miami but would think twice now.

I am not sure everyone wants a slanging match but you do tend to “talk down” to posters that don’t share the same views as you. Also maybe they are not all posting fake news and what you believe is the fake news. Edited by Spiderman (30 Nov 2020 5.34pm)

Edited by Spiderman (30 Nov 2020 5.34pm) I find the styles of several posters here pretty irritating but try hard to concentrate on the comment and not the style of who is making it. Of course, I might not always succeed and when provoked respond in kind but I am human and not a machine. My own mental capacity is quite frequently questioned here but I try to ignore such comments, as I know they are untrue. Thanks for the good wishes. My health checks, like so much during this crisis, have been impacted by it. I am in a waiting phase, with nothing immediately planned as the effects of the treatment might be worse than any benefit. The time will arrive though when it will. I would re-emphasise the need for every man to take this seriously as early intervention can make the difference between a full cure and a painful, long drawn out death.

So the time you were wrong was when you imputed noble motives to others which matched yours but weren’t there after all.
