If that's his current contract then I guess we should match it. Not to sure why this is news tho. For years and years and years players have been paid winner bonuses and goal bonuses.. Why would we not expect his to be in that range? I'm sure 15 years ago £5k was a normal to low level goal bonus, now money has gone to the bonkers then £20k assist bonus sounds about right? Crazy but surely it's just why everyone else is on? Problem is if he's on it the rest of the team will dually want to be on it. Why should Benteke get more for an assist than say Dann does? Or possibly more for an assist than say Wilf does for scoring. Maybe he'll cut other players in on it if they assist him in getting his assist.... :/
