The Board don't select team, the negative tactics or make the in-game changes - that is Roy's job and he is sh1t at it.

When they don't support the manager the board do indeed select the team by giving him little option.

The negative tactics I'll give you but again when you have a squad full of defensive players you are going to play defensive football

You mean like Ahemada or Franca? Only time he brings them on is when we have already lost. Not exactly inspiring them when he's shoved a defender in midfield and a cdm on the wing is it? Damn ridiculous.

Poor old Croydon Roy. One really has to feel for him.
A point not much mentioned is he didn't have to take this season on - he must surely have envisaged some likely scenarios occurring having worked with Parish previously. Roy could have walked away with his head held high last season, and got got that statue leading up the Hodgson Way to the new stand. Now we can't be so sure.
In the end the choice was his. He probably thought this season was going to be a doddle. Once again hubris strikes.

Looked again at the first two goals, both fouls in my opinion.

Play Adamarola, for me Roy.

Please.

What does he want to argue about? That the fans shouldn't get upset that he can't defend corners as soon as the ball flies in over four, five feet high. Or that his current salary is too low, with which he earns so much after two weeks that he could pay the entrance fee for the entire away end after two weeks. I really appreciate Andersen, but he still has to think from time to time.

Andersen hasn't been as dependable this year as in the past, but he remains a strong defender. No, he doesn't jump high, however, do yourself a favor and re-watch what happened on each of the two corners. Both times, Arsenal sent Troussard to block him from behind - body to body – and delivered the corner beyond him. It was excellent coaching and excellent execution, completely nullifying one of our two strong central defenders. And why did they pick Andersen? Because he's a fine defender on corners and crosses.

We used to have an extra point over the teams in the bottom three with our superior goal difference but after today that has almost disappeared.Just watched Brentford v Forest where both teams have lost more players to Afcon and Asia, in Forest’s case six players!! and played extra time on Wednesday in the cup and started with nine of those tonight. Great game, both teams going at it hammer and tong and Toney back after eight months and played like he never missed a game. All their players looked comfortable on the ball and seemed to have a recognised patten of play, both teams have better back up players than us.We are in big trouble !!

I'm not blaming Andersen personally for the goals or even the outcome of the game. As said, I rate him. But if he really wanted to argue with the supporters, what's the point of doing so?
In addition, the weakness of the defence on high balls, especially from corners, has been a problem since long. I was at SP last season when we played West Ham. Every Westham corner was practically a pen. Our win in the end masked the fact because - thank God - Westham's fourth corner in injury time was the first which was defended, the previous three were goals.

The investors are the problem, they don’t see eye to eye with Parish and all want out so investment in team is not adequate enough for this league it will not matter who the manager is they will not be able to make this squad or the results any better!

One thing having a decent forward, another thing having any outlet for them to score. When we are playing 7 in defense, I'm not sure how they re meant to have any chances worth producing goals from. Not saying that I think they are great, I don't but they aren't exactly given a lot of service.

Agreed, they may not be great forwards but to judge them on receiving no service is wrong. Our midfield is the worst it’s been for many a season. That is where we need to improve first in my opinion

I think people have just had enough. Not the losing but the complete lack of anything like a plan or a tactic. Anyone who pays good money to watch that today is entitled to be more than a little miffed. I don’t think it’s fair to say they are bad fans or morons for expressing how a lot of people feel (myself included). How else are supporters supposed to get there view across. We look like we’ve wasted what little funds we had this season on a goal keeper that struggles to keep goal (and SJ is better anyway) and a player completely untested. We could have used the funds so much better.
If SP at least gave us the heads up on his ‘Plan” for the future maybe that we just need to get through this year as we plan to do this or that, it would not be so bad. But instead he pays himself a nice fat bonus and does nothing.
