I would also note that even though me and you and matov etc are on totally opposite sides of the river about Ukraine there is no sniping. You guys rightly or wrongly imho have your opinion and I have mine along with the flag. This could be the end for all of us but civility and understanding of different opinions doesn’t alter the respect for the poster. I mean I even agreed with wissie about some covid chat and the ‘right’ wing still didn’t cane me. Although being a sex pest does hamper me slightly but hey only my mrs would clarify that at bed time

Good for her. Even she struggles to imagine the magic that would be required to suddenly change your biological sex.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Although being a sex pest does hamper me slightly but hey only my mrs would clarify that at bed time I think there's more room to disagree on the right without people being cancelled socially, economically or culturally simply because we actually believe in the right of people to think differently. We stand much more for free speech than the left or neoliberals....even though it's a bit absurd to think that today's liberals are like that but unfortunately they are. You do get the occasional libertarian lefty....or the Russell Brand type on the left but they exist very much away from the left mainstream....and like you see on this thread, most of them avoid commentary on anything difficult. Your last paragraph beggars belief. Have you not read the posts on this thread? If ANY male wants to identify as female, he is being allowed to enter female spaces, that is a fact, you seem to think that this is ok because “ he will anyway” ffs WE you need to start thinking about the rights of biological women Of course, I don't think it's OK! Any male seeking to pretend to be female is a pest and deserves all that's coming to him. I am not talking any male. I am talking about transgenders, who aren't male. They are females trapped inside male bodies. Punishing them and putting them at risk by forcing them to use make facilities would do nothing at all to stop the real male pests from doing what you suggest they are doing. If they are determined to dress and behave as a woman, how on earth do you think it can be stopped. In fact, my suggestion of ID cards might help everybody, but it has so far been ridiculed. No-one wants any woman to feel threatened, so why are you prepared to send transgendered women into threatening situations?

But they are not being arrested, that is the problem. How many more times How would banning transgenders help arrest such pests? Do you propose a genital inspection prior to entry? This issue is completely unrelated to the transgender one and is only connected in some minds because the transgender may still possess male physical attributes. They would feel just as threatened by these pests as any other woman using the facilities.

It really does. If there really is a need for it and independent cubicles/rooms can be provided then so be it but even then should not be enforced, any business can choose that if so. Perhaps even just 'single-use' rooms for any particular reason, such as those with anxiety, body image issues etc can use - I'd buy into that and recognise their purpose. To constantly campaign as if this applies to a large enough section of society and one that even remotely supersedes the protection of women is beyond ludicrous. It's their choice and they have to live with it. This pernicious notion that the whims of any group which can claim 'discrimination' have to be obliged to the inconvenience, cost and detriment to the rest of society is beyond any reason whatsoever and that's at best. It's no more their choice than it is yours that you are, I assume, a heterosexual male.

Do you notice that the only people to challenge WE's position here are those on the right of whatever degree. When you look at polls I'd say that essentially both left and right get about thirty percent of reliable died in the wool voters with the rest voting based upon the economy and/or what the media tells them to think. We have to accept that in society there are huge numbers of people who are 'go along to get along/quiet life' types who will always bend with the current cultural winds and keep their heads down.....also there are quite a lot of people who support to varying degrees the degeneracy that is being pushed down society's throats....the left have a huge number of activist foot soldiers who cheer on this stuff and the rest largely keep quiet. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Oct 2022 7.34pm) I would say that it's more noticeable that only people on the centre right challenge those, such as yourself, on the hard right here. There is almost no-one from the left posting here. Occasionally someone drifts past, gets abused, and gives it up as a lost cause. There's little point in those of the left banging their fists on these doors. They are locked solid. Those in the centre, like me, want to reclaim the heart of conservatism and return it to the decent, caring, responsible movement I used to admire. The last thing I want to see is that it lunges even further to the right. Johnson was bad enough, Truss is much worse, but I sense even the Tory faithful are having second thoughts. Hopefully that will consign the hard right fringe even further to the margins. This fringe has always existed. It just has more opportunity to make a lot of noise these days. Whereas in the past, they were restricted to small meetings in dusty village halls, or the corners of dubious pubs, these days they can find each other in places like this. So long as it hurts no-one, no harm is done I suppose, but making sure the casual reader understands that these ideas are challenged seems important. At least to me.

The right doesn't knowingly accept degenerates, nor create the opportunities for them to flourish under the guise of 'rights'. Some people claim that they were Napoleon in a former life. Those people are still more believable and credible that WE claiming he's on the centre right. There's more chance of him playing on the centre right on Sunday. If he's centre right then I'm left of Owen Jones.

I wonder if this globalist banker (President of the Peterson Institute for International Economics) also thinks he's centre right. The Queen made him a CBE, because he's a top banker.... [Tweet Link]
