Obviously cant speak for the boy, but if it was me I'd have given up the hope of ever playing properly again.

Keep your head own do the rehab, save your money. If/when Palace let him go this season he's very unlikely to get a wage playing footie again.

Wickham is a similarly sad case, has been released by 4 clubs since we let him go. And now out of work.

You're probably right Mr. Robbo. You talk a lot of sense. But being a glass half full merchant, on 5K/wk I would keep him on for another season or two as we have already made such a substantial investment. Get him on the latest diet and drugs to strengthen his body and hope he toughens up to make the grade physically. Evidently, talent wise he would sail into our team.
Richards had a long time out with joint issues, but appears now to have come through it well. Although he has completely changed shape and is looking more like an NFL player, he is putting in some pretty good shifts now.

Good luck to the lad, such a shame what he has been through. Seems a docent guy as well but don’t see him staying. Hopefully he can get injury free and play further down the football pyramid

Heart says, what if there is still a decent player in there?

But head says no. Cant keep fit, and even if he does, he's missed 4 years of football. He's now 23 with 22 league appearances to his name.

Fans were spit over Connor W, some wanted him to be given another chance. But its a good job we didnt.

Unless Nathan can get himself into the first team squad before the end of the season its time to say goodbye.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It's where old Palace players go to retire. Johnny Williams was there and now Freddie Ladapo is their main striker.

LOL

Just read the Charlton forum on Connor Wickham. Most fans not impressed and say the best thing he's done was to steal a wage from Palace, Ouch.

There are the usual optimists that if Wickham is fit and if Saturn aligns with Mars he will be a great signing for them. I'm sure the the same comments have been made by the 5 teams he signed for after us.

Man of glass.
