Thanks you JohnB! He's the wrong profile for us now - we want players who are stepping up/developing when they come to us - and he plays in a position for which we have loads of cover. He'll be taking a pay cut to fit into our structure or we'd be overpaying - which risks the dressing room's unity. I also wonder a little about his attitude. There was this interview he gave in his breakout year that didn't sit right with me. He gave me the impression he thought he was bigger than us. It is a risky buy but dont think its gonna happen coz it makes no sense. Originally posted by JohnB
If we sign AWB either on loan or permanently, I think it is complete madness. He's on massive wages, especially in comparison to our squad in his role and what he would bring to the team. We have 4 players plus youth players that can all play at Rb and he isn't a significant improvement on any of them - Clyne, Ward, Richards, Ferguson etc. We need reinforcements in other areas of the pitch and his cost eats away at our needs to bring in a couple more midfielders and an attacker. We have 1 LB compared to 3+ RB's, why recruit another one. Given our squad and finances, if our second highest paid player is a right back who is solid defensively but offers little else, then somethings gone wrong. I'd rather give Guehi, Eze, Olise, Anderson and Mitchell an extra £15k a week more each and signed on long term deals than spend it on him.

BTW love the guy for no reason other than his sale fee paid for our academy.

Everyone around him seems to speak highly of his attitude and the fact he is a quiet and modest guy in the changing room. I still think he's an upgrade, but I also don't think he's a priority. However, if United agreed to 10m then I could see Parish seeing that as too good an offer to turn down.

How could a 10m transfer fee be too good an offer to turn down when we'd be paying out three times that in wages over a 3 yr contract and thats not including the signing on fee, appearance bonuses and everything else the club would have to fork out for. And thats assuming he stays 100% fit for the duration of his contract and are at no point paying him to sit on the treatment table!

I'm confused why people keep moaning about AWB wages he is on around the same amount Clyne is 80 grand per week. Andersen is the same. The likes of Eze while on half that I expect have large bonuses and if they become regulars they will get a new deal even if they have years left on current one. We are replacing older players with young ones for slightly less wages and AWB is only 24 if we could get him for 10-15m I would say great business.

Bring him back. Loan with option to buy for 10-15m would be great business given the inflated prices everywhere. Not number 1 priority, but if we don't jump whilst we get the chance, he could go elsewhere. There is a great player in there, he just needs to come back to where he is loved. He needs us as much as we need him. He needs to get his career back on track.

Manchester United have received approaches from Crystal Palace and West Ham United about the possibility of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, however, both advances were turned down as United do not intend to sell or loan the right-back this window.

Our offer has been on the table for weeks but the Glazers never considered it due to it being less than 25% of what we sold him for. Too big a hit.

As much as I'd love to see him back in a Palace shirt, we do not need to have 5 RBs at the club. Our last signing should be a midfielder IMO

And to be fair to them, it would be a bit of a p1ss take. They need to help him get back into form, either to play him or sell him. Surprised they haven't found him a loan, but I guess the pockets are deep enough to keep him around as back up
