Wilf (you would assume on the basis of his advisers advice) signed a longterm contract which gave him a higher wage, removed his buyout clause and in effective terms tied him to club for rest of career (or we decided to sell him at a price we determined). Wilf it appears regrets signing this as for the second season running he is trying to break that contract and engineer a transfer at terms that suit him (not the club) After the pandemic (and its associated financial uncertainty) plus Wilfs performances this year there is an even greater gap between what he is worth in the open market compared to his value to the club. Wilf himself is the only one who can help bridge this gap. Reports from last year seemed to show that he was also loking for a pay rise from a move. it is very unlikely he will get that as only top 4 clubs pay those sorts of wages. So in order to get a move he may have to take a drop in pay (is he willing) If he signs for another club he and his advisors will get a percentage of fee plus some sort of signing or agent fees. Wilf and his advisors could pay all of the majority back to the club. These sort of actions would enable Palace to decrease asking price with percentage going to Man U This may be the difference between us agreeing to sell or not sell Good one.

Now Arsenal have won FA Cup and are in Europe next season can see the Zaha to Arse rumour mill running all summer now. Come 11th Sept expect a £20m bid which we will turn down and Zaha's head will not be right for new season. Can really see this saga dragging on and on....

Straight swap for Bats, RLC, and James. But even if no cash is involved Utd are still entitled to their sell on clause, worked out on value of incoming players. Just throwing this out there, as I may be incorrect, if Palace loaned Zaha to a club for, say £10m, for 1 season with view to buying for another £30m, would Utd only be entitled to 25% of £30m? If so a clever way to make £10m

I can see the rumour, but not the move actually happening. And if Zaha stays we have definitive proof that he's basically just an eternal 'grass is greener on the other side' complainer.

I know Zaha had a bad season but the papers are reporting this morning that Palace would be willing to accept as little as £30 million for him.
