As usual, you manage to spout pure twaddle born from your own personal bitterness. The government have done what they said they would do and we are past the peak. As usual, the radical Left manage to make themselves look like complete tits. Something we can all see is a lie if we bother to Google. But hey, I know facts are unfashionable on here nowadays, particularly the ones that dare criticise the world's oldest party of dirty money, big business and the rich.
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

We are the most densely populated country in Europe thanks to Tony Blair and yet our death rate is comparable to Europe allowing for inconsistency in gathering data. As a matter of interest from where do you get that impression about death rates? And also from where did you buy your human geography books?

The UK is Europe most densely populated country with exceptions of places like Vatican City or Monaco. It used to be Holland however due to our huge levels of immigration it’s now us.

Population density by country is rather misleading as you could have a highly dense city with lots of rural land around it Paris / France for example. I'm not sure how you would do it but it is clear that the London and the SE is highly populated and has the highest death rate. Rather than countries I guess you would need to compare urban areas in Europe with like for like population rates. Some of the most densest populations are islands or tiny places like Vatican City they have the advantage of being able to control who comes and in out more easily. My neighbour live on the Isle of Man (not at the moment) they have very strict lockdown procedures for any incoming travellers. From Wikipedia Edited by Badger11 (01 May 2020 8.08am)

Built up density is the key. Spain and Netherlands are way ahead of us. I would truly like to see a graph showing an increase in density during the Blair years, I really would. This graph would, of course, have to demonstrate a corresponding fall after brown lost power and a further fall since the Tories had complete control. It would also need to demonstrate us having a relatively low density index for the "glorious" Thatcher years.

Are you on about a physical fall in population or a fall in immigration. Either way it wouldn't suit your lefty view so what is the point? Do you think it didnt increase under blair?

That aside - it’s a fair point re. Immigration levels. I’d agree they must have gone up after Blair came in, but thosee levels have surely been sustained or even exceeded in the years since under the blue bloods Someone treat me to a rarity and post some untainted / non-subjectively selected objective thought supported by, y’know, some contextually relevant and balanced facts

I was reacting to a post by hrolf who alluded to Blair being a cause of the high death rate in this country by policies that caused densening in the population It may have happened. However if you want to use this as a stick to bash labour then you must also show a fall in density under the Tories who have been in power for quite a while otherwise the criticism doesn't stand up.

According to migration watch 3 million people were added to the population under Blair. A million brits did leave though. So net 2 million. Quite a lot.
