So true!... Even the sports news roundup on the BBC started with the fact that Rashford had suffered racial abuse on social media for missing a penalty.... then after a bit more blurb about the rest of Utd, they finally mentioned "in their 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace" almost as an afterthought.

Alastair Stewart the dickhead ITV newsreader said Man Utd BEAT Crystal Palace 2-1........Biased reporting??

Probably just read what he expected to see on his prompt, rather than what was a totally there. I suppose it could be considered an easy mistake to make

As for 'getting the better of the decisions':

1. Imagine the 2 so-called penalty shouts being awarded as spot-kicks AGAINST ManUre. The media would become apoplectic about 'soft' penalties being awarded.
2. As far as I'm aware, both 'shouts' were reviewed by VAR, so there's an end to it, surely?
3. Anyone else spot the ManUre no. 2 grab a good handful of Jeff's shirt, to make sure he didn't get to the ball during that passage of play when we were 1-0 up? The incident where JS ended up on the deck and Wilf's shot was saved at the near post? A penalty in my eyes.

Yes never mentioned.
The Martial shout was probably a foul but started outside the box, something not mentioned

And, kharma or something came back to haunt AWB, he got the assist for our winning goal.
United paid 130 mill. for Maguire and our young full back, we got Cahill (MOTM) and goalscorer Ayew for 2,5 mill.
Still can not believe the final scoreline....

The Luke trip was the only real penalty shout, it was so blatant, but the others looked like the United players were playing for it.

Years ago Fergie would have chased the officials round the ground to claim a very dubious penalty and they always caved in. How the f*** did United always get Fergie time, which when they were losing was 97 minutes plus.

With VAR we will have decisions that go for us and against, but don’t you feel the officials cannot be swayed by fans, players and managers putting the pressure on?

I wish it was about when Clattenburg was officiating like a complete cock!

Yep, even young spider legs couldn't quite get across to block the shot. He still has some positional work to do on his game, but he looks capable of becoming the finished article. Its a shame we couldn't take him to that level, but the money was good (even if we didn't spend it!). Cahill is looking like a good signing. Will Tomkins displace him when both Sakho and Tomkins are fit?

Agreed instead of the referee having to make a decision in real time under enormous pressure he passes the buck to VAR. I have a sneaky feeling he might have caved on at least one of those penalty appeals without the technology.

VAR gets a lot of stick but I think it helped us Saturday.
