The signing of Henderson an potentially Ayew are a joke and insult to the supporters. A goalkeeper released by a championship side! And now a striker who shows very little awareness of where the goal is or what to do other than run around offering no threat!

Ayew has had two 7 goal seasons in the Prem, so this idea that he can’t score goals at this level is not true - players have good and bad seasons but he’s proven he can return that on two separate occasions, three seasons apart. If we get 7, or even 5 goals out of Ayew next year for £2.5m, that’s good value by any definition, and it’s not as far fetched as some are making out. It’s an uninspiring, and ultimately disappointing signing in the context of our window, but it’s not bad business in isolation.

Am I the only idiot who keeps finding links along the lines of “Crystal Palace close to signing international striker....” and not realising that’s its Ayew, so f-ing annoying !! I think the context of his arrival is the source of any ‘hating’. Not the worst player in the world for 2.5 million which is peanuts these days, though I’m unsure on his wages. I suspect if we had 2-3 decent signings people might be less pessimistic. As it stands however very much a non event for me!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If we’d bought say three other players already for real cash the attitude would be “squad depth for cheap - good”. As it is the mentality is “is this as good as it gets?!”

If we get 7 or 5 goals out of all our forwards combined next season, I’ll be fing speechless. CB maybe 3 if it’s a good season CW 1 in the first game against Everton and gets injured in the second half . Sorloth 0 Ayew if we manage to beat off the stiff competition and sign him, from a Championship club who don’t rate him 1 as sub in the last game.

If he scores seven PL it will be a value signing . Last year we scored 51 ( more than Wolves ) so 7 would be a decent contribution out of 50. Originally posted by EverybodyDannsNow

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Ayew was a squad player last year, and will have been signed as a squad player. And for the fees quoted it's a very good deal. He's an average player for the EPL and average players are now apparently worth 10 million.
