Guidance to all goalkeepers from the FA. Do not raise your players attention in this manner or you will be prosecuted to the full force of the law, sorry the full force of the FA law. You have been warned!

Also, do you think that if Wayne put a V sign up as did Churchill, would the FA consider this offensive to the Germans who had to endure this sign of defiance during WW2? The world has truly gone mad, mad I tell you.

A lot of fans on here seem to love to bury their head in the sand. Coming up with stupid photos and other examples to try and deflect from what Wayne did. We all know why he did it and the context of the photo whether we want to admit it. We all have done much worse on night out and it has been in the name of banter. Meant no offence to anyone and we have all had a good laugh. As a footballer you have an added responsibility. Clearly this photo was not meant to get out and to say it is a private event means nothing. For those who are saying the club have believed him. What are the club going to say, we don't believe you. They are not stupid. Wayne gets paid handsomely to do his job, partly, because of the money the EPL gets. This is based on inclusivity as a world wide brand. He has to behave on a different level. He has a duty of care to Crystal Palace, Wales and the EPL amongst others. Whether you think that is right or wrong is another debate but that is where we are. He is not a racist, anti-Semitic, holocaust denier (list could go on) that I am aware of. It was just a silly joke that unfortunately made the public domain and he will have to pay for it. I just wish he had admitted to it at the start. For those that think he did not do it then we can just agree to disagree. The FA will make their decision and it will not be to the same degree that a court of law would do. Which is another argument!!

Correct. He's said it's a bad photo, nobody there complained, that's the end of the matter. All this virtue signalling is unnecessary. The FA must be seen to be cracking down on all matters of discrimination no matter the body of truth though, and we're jumping in to hang him before he's finished the oath too? Give over. This is a complete non-story. The fa is a joke. Whatever happened to backing your man? Go on Wayne!

Lesson to learn from this, anything you do, where ever you are is open to FA scrutiny and public witch hunt. However,i guess understandably, no other player has spoken up for him... which i find it kinda weird. Anyways, one mans joke is another mans insult.

Referees do this many times in a match especially when awarding free kicks, and they dress in black! To be on the safe side Wayne should avoid making any saves that involve raising one arm in the air.

I get it now. So when Mane lifted Andros Townsend's arm in the penalty area he was trying to show him what Wayne had done.
