he linked up OK first half, took a few knocks and got free kicks, but he looks quite one footed to me, couldn't adjust his feet in time to strike in the box second half, can get muscled out of games, jury's still out but I'm more doubtful than confident

Well, if you search for "Crystal Palace salaries" on google, on the first page you get some sites which have pretty good information. The consensus seems to be that he's on 125.000 a week and 6,5 million a year. That's second best paid player after Zaha and he clearly didn't offer that much. I don't know if he's in the team's most influential 10 players.

As Spiderman says, I tend to pay attention to those who have connections to the Club. Even so, if you take that inflated £125k he is still cheaper over the length of his contract than all of the following: Wilf, Benteke, Mama, Dann, Wickham, Schlupp, PVA, Andros, Jairo, Kouyate, Tomkins & Luka. Whilst many of those names are not a surprise, few will have any real resale value going forwards either. The jury's out on his 'value' to the team until he gets a run in the side.
