Quite possibly, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't question it. He clearly knows a lot more than anyone on this board ever will about football, even so, if you can't find an explanation for something, question it.

Absolutely, but question it from a position of authority, which I'd venture is absent from pretty much every poster on here

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Really pissed off with that.

Needed to change things earlier in the second half but left it too late. Again if what Benteke is doing isn't working Soerloth isn't likely to either, and vice versa. Poor midfield performance at least until Meyer came on and usual poor composure in front of goal.

And the referee took exactly six minutes to show us that he was as much at the beck and call of the Watford fans as the last idiot was who reffed us there. He makes the correct call there, totally different match.

Will admit you certainly played well 1st half and we seemed to have got lucky with the Capoue tackle .

Maybe won't be so fortunate against the bigger sides!

We came out the better side 2nd half I thought though.

Glad that header at the end was wide - maybe summed up your day !?

if your team of filth was the only football left to watch i would give up watching, how proud are you of Capoues potentially career ending tackle? Hope someone damages capoue really badly and very soon.....utter scum!!

Hard to disagree with this

Was very nasty I admit .

Capoue isn't usualy one for a bad tackle like that and he was very lucky .

Capoue's foul could have ended Wilf's career. Taylor bottled it and then gave a ludicrous yellow against Wilf when it wasn't even a foul. Shows that Taylor was pressured by the occasion - which top refs are supposed to resist. Roy said that the foul on Wilf affected him for most of the game - and the yellow would have made him wary too. Watford rank with Huddersfield last season in taking Wilf out of the game - and last season for about nine more games as well. All the focus is on whether Wilf is a diver (which he isn't) instead of protecting him against cynical professional foulers like Capoue - who even did one of those fake gestures to protest his innocence. Totally sickening performance by Capoue and Taylor which cost us the game.

I thought that challenge on Wilf in the sixth minute was awful.

Nowhere near the ball. Premeditated and vicious.

Am I barking at the moon?

Is it just me?

Taking into account the context and the effect it had on the match I'm thinking it's the worst decision I've seen in a long, long time. I can remember I think it was Olsson ten minutes into the home match against Sunderland the season before last, but we were so toilet that day it didn't matter much in the end; and the notorious Grujic assault on Tomkins after we had used all three subs, but then it was nearly the end of the match and of the season so again it didn't change much.

That decision today though was absolutely f***ing scandalous.

Fair play to you being on this board but if it's that much out of character why in the fourth or fifth minute without provocation ?

Both of the penalties we've had against you recently have been stonewall and that idiot mascot would do well to keep his head down. If I was Wilf I'd get the silly mask off him and call him out.

Agree with this... Sometimes us football fans can over react about challenges. Football is a fast flowing and physical game.... but that tackle by Capoue is just disgusting...

It's not ill timed or 'it looks worse than it was'... It was a deliberate attempt to really hurt another player, essentially trying to rupture there achilles tendon.... f***ing awful tackle.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Is Roy a little stubborn? ' by Midlands Eagle

I am a great fan of our manager, but is he being to stubborn not bringing on Ayew, for 20 min today and changing to plan B, we break so fast a change in personal upfront of a different style toBenteke would have maybe made all the difference, the big guy had his chance, it didn't work!! Any thoughts?

Oh calm down you big girl.

He got a good rake nothing more.

We lost because we did not put our early chances away, then adapt to their changes quick enough.. stop bloody crying foul.

Happy happy JOY, JOY!

You seem to be the only one on here who thinks there was nothing wrong with the 'tackle'
