This season could have been different. We actually have a manager in place and he has been here all summer and most of last season. We had time to plan but as usual the season approaches our rivals make signings and we huff puff and do nothing. We have serious financial restrictions this time.

I think we will be ok if we don't have a repeat of last season's injury situation. A replacement for Cabaye is needed and will hopefully be addressed even in the loan market. And I think there are at least three teams worse than us. I guess ultimately my frustrations are hearing Roy say that we need quality additions to the squad, we sign players that didn't get close to competing for a place and another ( Sorloth ) that currently doesn't look up to it. That's compounded by Parish saying that we need to do our transfer business early this time. Perhaps we did - but it was all outwards.

Don't forget Pardew was with us for two complete summer windows and that did us little good.

Agreed. First time caller - long time listener. The idea that Parish should go because of transfer difficulties is delusional. Agents are becoming increasingly important to the way clubs operate - perhaps we should list which agents do business with which clubs. Parish might have made some enemies in that department. But they (agents) don't yet get to decide which chairmen remain in office. Long and the short of it - the game always looks easier from the stands.

Shareholders decide if the chief executive goes or not and if Steve Parish's actions or inactions end up costing the investors a shed load of money through relegation they could well decide that it's time to look for a new chief executive.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

sadly we are talking like parish is sol owner of the club, he has other owners to answer to but we are not picking on them, we are getting major ground improvements I think the clubs ambition is to not ever go into admin again, for me thats a good ambition, love to see the final years of my life as a palace fan never seeing the club hitting rock bottom, we have tried 3 times to go into liquidation and one almost happened,

If this window is anything to go by we are losing depth not adding it so more of the same is likely.

Not going bust isn’t an ambition but something to prevent.

It's laughable when a newly promoted team like Fulham can sign Seri and we still have our thumbs up our arse.

The financial situation is staring us all in the face. We just don’t know how much we can Gong back a while the issue was raised a couple of seasons after season 1 that when we were promoted we decided to operate at a profit in year 1 instead of going out and overspending which you are allowed to do within reason in season 1.
