This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If Wilf goes I’d like it to be to Dortmund for 70 mil. Don’t think I could bear a premier league team signing ‘he’s to good for you’ . If he goes to Everton I will be gutted, hopefully Yanick will put him off.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle A couple of windows ago Spurs lodged a silly bid but our then manager (can't remember who it was) said that Wilf approached him about it and he told him we wouldn't be accepting the offer. Wilf then got on with it without a fuss. If we rejected any advances I think he would do the same, providing the club didn't act d*ckish about it.
You can never say never, but I just really don't see how this makes any sense and seems more like the press taking a tiny unsubstantiated story and going nuts with it.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Let’s be honest, the chances are he is never going to win anything while he is with us and he will never play in the Champions League. It seems likely that at some point every season we are going to be involved in the relegation shake-up so you wouldn’t blame him for wanting to better himself. We’ve been very lucky to keep him this long. The question is would any club be prepared to pay the kind of money we would demand?

Please stick to discussing the issues and not insulting other posters just because you disagree with them Can you please explain what part of the poster's point was an issue and insulting? I've read it five times and is as far from an insult as you can get.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle If he turned down 150k pw it will probably take 200k to get him to move, I think thats an even bigger stumbling block than the 70m transfer fee. I think you are only looking at 6 clubs in the world and none of them sound interested...yet... I think he is keeping his options open just on the offchance that one of the 6 approach us but hopefully it wont happen...

The story was that he turned down a new contract at £125,000 per week but perhaps his agent leaked the story to see if there was any interest in him from other clubs. There is a possibility that he would move to a bigger club for the same wages that he is currently on just to play his football on a bigger stage than at Selhurst Park without the usual annual struggle against relegation. All will be revealed within the next four weeks

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Cant see him being overly interested in Everton or Dortmund. When he leaves Palace, which he will, it will surely be for a bigger club than that.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle What is Wilf actually worth? Ignore all the reports of £70m. Van Dijk refused to play for Southampton at one point and they still held out for £75m!!! Was that too much? Is he better than Wilf? Is Wilf worth more than Van Dijk? I think, IMO, Wilf is worth more than Van Dijk. If there is a real possibility of Wilf moving on, I hope the club hold out for a huge amount of money. Personally I would keep Wilf and let him walk for nothing at the end of his contract...we'd make more money staying in the Prem over the next 4 years than we would selling him now. Truth is...I don't think he's going anywhere. Edited by Hudsoneagle (10 Jul 2018 3.45pm)
