You can tell from his body language that he's not happy at the club. Perhaps he's not getting along with the other players, it would explain why he's not gelling with the others much. I wonder if the situ would be any different right now if his goal against Chelsea when he first came to us wasn't bizarrely disallowed.

Eddie Howe is still able to find a few gems and develop them, Callum Wilson fee £3.5m and Josh King fee free ( a Norwegian forward who can play ) He also spent a fair chunk of money on Afobe and Ibe who were both flops.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Agreed. Callum Wilson signed when Bournemouth were in the Championship so he wasn't thrust straight into the PL. King was signed on a free as his contract expired at Blackburn. He was signed when they were in the PL but he scored in his 13th game for the club (In November) and ended up with 8 goals for the season so hardly prolific. Your point was you don't get much of a striker for £9m, these 2 cost a third of that together. I would take either in place of Sorloth any day of the week.

In these days of gargantuan transfer fees, to get a striker for £9 Mill and expect him to slot seamlessly and make an immediate impact in the PL is asking a lot.Wilson was signed when Bournemouth were in the Championship and King was hardly prolific in his first season. They have proved brilliant signings by Howe. I accept both of these are way above Sorloth at the present time.Maybe in time we will all look back and think that at £9 Mill Sorloth has proved a great buy ! Edited by Willo (02 Nov 2018 8.44pm)

Yes I am a long-term supporter, fervently supporting our team since the 60s and have witnessed forwards such as Gareth Taylor,Tommy Langley and Trevor Aylott ! Sorloth has made cameo appearances in the PL and in his fleeting appearance against Arsenal he looked as though he had something about him but I understand he was far from impressive against Middlesbrough.Young lad, trying to make the transition from Danish football in a bottom half of the table team.I shall reserve judgement on him.

Me too. He is big and strong and when in possession doesn't give the ball away easily. It could be that what we are seeing is the best he has to give, but on the other hand .... it may be forgotten that Glenn Murray didn't have a great first season with us and spent quite a bit of time on the subs bench.
