That's just typical Brighton fans for you.
They messed up something very simple because they couldn't handle a small group of unruly school kids then cast us all as scum and try and make a big drama about it.

So much for their liberal bohemian attitudes.

Probably the same type of people who preach about why we should punish criminal little s***s because the "had a hard upbringing" or "are from a bad area".

Just goes to show what pompous hypocritical t***s they all are.

This was all reasonably foreseeable and should have been easy to manage. I don't condone bad behaviour, but you have to realise it exists.

You do realise you are coming out with the exact same excuses as Millwall do when that bunch of ***** misbehave

One cannot assume that because one resides on the south coast these had to be Brighton supporters.

I am reliably informed that on the night of the Speroni testimonial there was a significantly large group of Palace supporters waiting for the train at Angmering station.

In my village alone I have met 5 Palace supporters and I have been told that one of the local pubs a small distance drive away is run by supporters of our club.

There are lots of palace in south coastal towns, i remember getting off a packed train after the fa cup final at east croydon, going to gatwick an brighton, and as it pulled off it was stil packed,,,but that doesnt mean they were palace, lots more bha fans live in the areas i mentioned, so the law of probability says bha!

And if the brighton, portslade, horley, worthing and st leonards chaps were all palace, which i doubt, maybe the south croydon rascal was a brighton thug and should also be banned from the amex! Im seriously considering boycotting this away fixture in the future, the sussex police are obviously not up to the job!

Let's agree they were probably d***heads irrespective of their club allegiance.

The Sussex police have managed to handle Millwall, Leeds, the Birmingham clubs and others since the Amex opened in 2012. I'm guessing, therefore, that while I wouldn't trust their version of events as far as I could throw Thomas Brolin, they're not the ONLY factor in Tuesday night's bother.

The important point is that no-one knows whether the trouble was caused, or started, by bone-fide Palace fans. It's just suits the narrative for Brighton, the Police and the Media to call the trouble makers Palace Fans.

Why are people making up excuses for these morons. A number of 'fans' went down there without tickets, some even said on these forums they were going , what for, a dip in the sea?. No, to show the brighton fans how 'hard' they are, cause trouble and try and get in the ground without a ticketby storming the turnstiles. We pride ourselves as having the so called 'best fans', and yet incidents like this and the trouble after the spurs game just makes us look like yobs.

I would like to say that Willo is a valuable resource to this site.

He is one of the rapidly dwindling group of people for whom the status quo has worked and is working as far as I can tell. He supports the status quo and is not someone that is a driver of change. He assumes that the powers of authority know what is best.

That is all very laudable but for those people that see things differently it has an ostrich feel to it.

Let us not forget that the 'authorities' were responsible for the treatment of the Hillsborough victims and - as reminded to us by our Baggies friend - the Birmingham six.

Let us also not forget that being Gay was criminal until 1967 and even after that many Gay people were still convicted.

In truth you cannot just accept what is said or done just because someone is 'in authority'. There is always an agenda, people are always defensive and in fear of losing power and influence.

However, if a significant group of people believe in the authority figures and are 'conservative' with a small c, then we should hear from them. Unfortunately I don't see us changing their opinion but in my view we need to understand it. So Willo is helpful in that regard and relatively unusual in his staunch support of authority.

I have to say that 'conservative' people are usually very vocal about their hatred of the 'nanny state' yet won't hear anything bad said about authority figures, seems odd to me.

Please leave your nonsense political agenda and prejudices out of this.

Its got nothing to do with politics whatsoever, so stop exploiting it to further your dubious political views.

Absolutely no one is trying to condone what happend. The people who stormed the gates were a bunch of little s***s. That part of the conversation is agreed.

We've also agreed the way Palace fans were treated was outrageously incompetent. No debate there.

But let's not start having a go at each other when their is an opportunity for everyone to have a go at Brighton.

Their security messed this up good and proper. The resources who should have been dealing with it were probably making sure no one was taking a dump in the away changing room.
