I just scanned back to check, the quote is: "It's looking like mathematically they are going to need a point and a half a game through the rest of the season to stay up"

Which has to be one of the most meaningless things I've ever heard a pundit say.

Saw a lot of positives. No Ward & Punch in starting line up, created good chances and played like a unit first 45. Benteke out - well, Sako won't be any worse as stand in. And soon Wilf is back...finish the next 2 games vs ManU & Chelsea and then we talk business....

Landlord a pint of whatever he's drinking please we can't even pick points up against Huddersfield & Swansea not even a goal something deep down is fundamentally wrong at the club it's a malaise that's been allowed to manifest itself.

who needs Niasse, Lokilo has amazing potential as a striker and Schlupp played there at U-23 level. We won't be held to ransom in the transfer market.

SP 4 PM!

No surprises. For 43 mins we coped, second half we folded. Why can't we take our chances? ... a goal would have been nice!

Chalk and cheese between 1st. & 2nd. half performances. SP it's time to let your favorite's go this coming window and free up some space in the squad. Cut the deadwood please and get some premiership quality players.

As regards Benteke, if we get a good price for him I think we should bite the bullet and sell him even with a small loss and get in two £10M strikers from the lower leagues. I doubt they will do any worst.

They may well do worse though.

To be fair City gave us far too much respect in the first half Pep reamed them out at half time and they played their arses off. That's the sort of manager we need to scare the players into giving 100 percent for the full game.

Edited to say: haha he pepped them up (sorry just thought of it and it was too bad a pun to waste)

I think for a small market club they have invested cash, just maybe not done it very well.
That could be a function of the churn in managers. Hard to get consistency when you change managers every few months.

And after his recent performances I'm not sure we'd get good money for him anyway.
