I must admit I thought RH wasn't the right choice of manager when we appointed him bit think his worked wonders now just hope he stays now and we push on next season we definitelyhave the squad to be top half next season palace need to keep this squadtogether because it has real potentialto be top 6 side we need to buy RLC in the summer

Sir Roy of SE25 has been an absolute revelation. Realistic, honest, calm, humble and in the last few games has stuck to his convictions in picking the same team despite having two fit forwards to pick from. What other manager would pick two wingers as make-shift strikers? It really has been a tactical master-stroke and confused defences in the last 4 games resulting in 8pts and no losses. Genius!!! I really hope Roy and team stay together and give us a period of stability through the summer and into next season. I for one have gone from being totally demoralised under FdB,questioning whether to commit to Palace,to having a renewed enthusiasm and am so glad I have kept the faith and have had my support paying dividends over the last few weeks by the team.Roy and Ray (not forgetting Steven Reid)deserve to have the freedom of Croydon. Well done to all of us also, the support has been immense and the moment prior to that penalty sums us Palace fans up,so glad for CB..Thank you Roy, Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Just look back at last Summer when we were looking for a manager and notice all those 'fans favourites' that failed at other clubs during the season. Like 99% of us I thought, at the time, that Roy was the least best option for the club. There would have been a huge howl of protest if he had been appointed at that time.

Roy has proved us all wrong (with the help of the players) and looks like succeeding despite starting well behind every other team and enduring a huge amount of bad luck throughout the season.

Personally, being the eternal pessimist about Palace, I would like to see us mathematically safe next on Saturday before celebrating.

He’s been a breath of fresh air the second he took charge. He’s such an intelligent speaking guy , I love listening to his press conferences. I thought we were dead and buried when he came in, it’s quite incredible what he’s help us achieve!

I was against Hodgson from the moment he was appointed, but i’ll give him credit where it’s undoubtedly due - he’s done an absolute sterling job in getting us away from the relegation zone.

If we keep Zaha, sign RLC, clear out the deadwood, and add some fresh blood, we could be in or around the top 8 to 10 next season.

We are playing exactly how i felt we would under FDB - which is why i was so excited to have him - little did we know what a disaster it would be and what really went on behind the scenes - demoralizing losses pre season, sending players to the reserves etc.
When Roy came in i felt it was a safe bet, but not inspiring. I felt had Roy come in during the summer, it be better, but i honestly thought he could keep us up and it be to the wire and a huge team effort.
After 7 games i was accepting of us going down, there was also another moment just after xmas i believe where i thought our luck had truly run out - the signings were bizarre in how it was obvious what Roy wanted, what we didn't get and how they didn't even feature. Taking a player on loan and not even get game time - who does that benefit? sloth was the future, i get that - but when we didn't get anyone for immediate competition, i lost faith and i hated, truly hated Parish, i felt enough was enough.
Now, we did the business, i don't know how - i just hope all those involved have learnt and will let the appropriate people call the shots and let them do it their way.

So without the 1st 4 games the table would be:

1. Manchester City 83

2. Manchester United 67

3. Liverpool 65

4 Spurs 61

5. Chelsea 55

6. Arsenal 51

7. Burnley 47

8. Everton 44

9. Leicester 41

10. Palace 38

11. Bournemouth 38

12. Newcastle 35

13. Weed 33

14. Wet Spam 32

15. Huddersfield Town 32

16. Watford 30

17. Swansea 29

18. Southampton 27

19. Stoke 25

20. WBA 21

So really there is not a vast difference. Maybe we should always forget about the 1st 4 games and start in September, so giving the hard working Player more of a summer rest!!!

He has proved what a great club manager he is, and that age is no barrier when you have class.

I would love us to finally go into a season with a settled manager who has had a full pre season and an opportunity to do some transfer deals in the summer.

I think our squad will see a few changes, mainly the dead wood, and I trust the players he will bring in will be good as I am sure he knows the type of players he wants to work with. I also think any due to be out of contract will sign in a heartbeat if offered another contract.

The togetherness of the squad appears as strong as ever and even after such a difficult season they all appear to be happy.

This is what I expected when Roy came in, and to be fair I thought he would be the best choice from the start of the season.

Really think next year could be our best in the Premier league with a settled squad and a little bit of luck that we have not had this season.

In his early 20s, Roy used to be a teacher.

Does anyone know a) at which schools b) for how long and c) what subjects?
