Building work elsewhere on the road but what I saw a couple days ago was def within the training grounds. Also I think it's disgusting we have this thread going still

seriously cannot beleive people are digging out steve parish on these boards its laughable to say the least. weve got the best squad weve ever had in recent history and are about to embark on our 5th season in the top flight with the 2nd best manager weve ever appointed behind el tel! i dont know about anybody else but i never expected massive signings this summer especially when we wasted north of £25m on PVA & schlupp in january to appease BFCS. people need to wake up and accept were just a club punching above our weight every season we stay up is a near miracle...football is all about cycles, at the minute were on board the gravy train lot loger thab we usually stay on it

As for backing FDB in the transfer market, who's to say he won't be, we still have another 30 days of the transfer window to go.

Go to the back of the class. Dear oh dear. You've decided we wasted £25 mil on 2 players who've only been available for 3 months. Okay. 2 players who contributed to keeping us up and have addressed the left hand side and can play in any formation? Okay again. 2 players who had to be signed. I suppose you've forgotten 1 or the other was injured so what would we have done with just one? Oh and what happened when Souare got injured and that arrogant fool thought he'd wing it? And don't use the car crash excuse. Could've been a football injury keeping him out for months to a year. And while we're here, Parish played a blinding error with Pardew over about 7 months contributing in needing Schlupp and PVA. Parish is the best chairman we could've dreamed of but don't try and point the finger at Sam for correcting the monumental mess and c0ck up that preceded him. It was nothing to do with 'appeasing Big Fat Cash Sam' or any other puerile abbreviated nickname and everything to do with surviving after making it unnecessarily difficult. Oh and if you hadn't noticed we're loaning in players rather than buying them. Players who will again cost serious money if we need them or comparable quality long term. So before jumping the gun thinking Sam is a profligate Harry Redknapp type and Frank a prudent miracle worker, I'd remember some of these are costing us loan fees with managers taking a chance on Frank's coaching and player development skills. They are still not our's. And I suppose £20 mil for Calum Chambers is cheap but about £12 mil for Schlupp or PVA we were conned.

The business in January 2017 should've been done in summer 2016. Could've saved a few mil but even then the spending in January was only added to with a net spend of £10 mil in the summer. Together it's a lot, but was very necessary. If we didn't do it we'd be trying to sign wingers to replace Zaha and Townsend, strikers to replace Benteke and a completely new midfield and centre backs. Feck it, a whole new team after losing to Bolton last Saturday.

Edited by Willo (07 Aug 2017 7.48pm) and? ... has he kept them up for 4 seasons in PL? lets wait and see. I like Hudds and wish them well. Gonna be tough for them. But in your true spirit of negativity, Im still not sure what you are implying Come on Willo, let have a new outlook of positive support this season?
