We are goin up! Coulsdon 08 Feb 17 9.26am | |

He is capable of having good games for us, his problem is that too often he has a complete mind blank and loses concentration. He also needs to be much, much better at clearing people out. He needs to be more of a presence considering his size, which is the argument for him playing ahead of Speroni. There's no doubt in my mind that if Mandanda isn't fit this weekend (he's in training so god knows what's keeping him now) that Speroni should play. He did nothing wrong in the Bolton games and Hennessey is completely shot of confidence and has lost the fans behind him. JS playing could be no worse really and it would give the fans a massive lift and something to get behind.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

I had heard about Coventry's 'Reice Charles-Cook' and watched him last night. He lived up to his reputation for being very positive and constantly coming off his line to collect. Admittedly he had some awkward moments along the way but he certainly wasn't afraid to come out and take charge.

Come on then mr inside knowledge. How did he fall out with speroni? Wheres the proof of it? No delusion here thanks. By the look of it (from outside), anyone with an opinion, spine or any sway within the team got canned. Classic divide and conquer that didn't work. Hence why we're left with a team of bottlers.

Yeah sorry. I forgot everything in the press is true as reporters dont have their own agendas only the fight to publish the truth. What you and the other Speroni apologists cant accept is that managers just dont think he is Prem league standard when in fact he has only ever been average as a goalie. If he had been that good he wouldnt have been with us for so long and got international recognition. Make no mistake if a higher placed club had ever seriously come in for him he would have been off like a puma after a capybara.

AP had his favourites and would not pick certain players even though we the fans could see what happening as could the media. Jules is our no 1 and our no 1wanted to get back after his slight injury but AP being the tw@t he is still played Wayne even after he was making so many mistakes and calamities. AP did not like a player being bigger than him and Jules being a fans favourite was destined to sit on the bench. I do not think SP would have given Jules another year on his contract if he was cr@p and past it. AP has a lot to answer for and is the main reason we are in the bottom three now. He messed up one of the best defences in the league just to play his "new" type of attacking football which we all know was crap even though we were scoring a few goals. Its back to basics doing things we know that work. Like reinstating Jules back in goal....He cannot do any worse than our number 13 is doing right now that's for sure.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

None of our keepers are up to scratch as i have said many times on here. The manager seems to favour Hennessey over speroni and the, lets face it, totally unproven Mandanda who has spent his whole career in the 2nd class league un. Again if he was really any good he would have been whisked away long before the age of 31. Like speroni probably viewed as too short. Anyhow, when we finally confirm our PL status for next year we really do need a good solid keeper. Dont like the bloke but i have put my trust in bfs.

We need a clean break from all 3 to stop this bickering if nothing else. Mandanda can return to Marseilles, Speroni can retire and Hennessey can be sold to a Championship club (assuming we are not that club).

I agree with you that we need to buy a keeper in but at the moment we are stuck with butter fingers, a French stick that does not really want to play for us and an Argentine that DOES want to play for us and should be given his number 1 spot back just to see if we can have a change of luck. After all he does have the Number 1 on his shirt does he not? We pay Jules a lot of money to sit on the bench at the moment when in all honesty he could be earning his bread playing for us on a regular basis. He might be short and he might be the oldest keeper but boy can he shot stop and dive when he has to and not stand there a spare pr1ck at a wedding like butter fingers does week in week out. . WHAT have we got to lose by letting Jules play a few games. It might change our luck and then at the end of the season get looking for a great replacement keeper.
