Hennessy should never have rushed out for the first goal. Carroll's second was a blinder that no defence could cater for. I didn't see the third as I had left the stadium by then.

Second goal for them was good but if you put pressure on the player then he will not score. They have one striker who will always be in the box likely looking for the weakest link (defensive backs) and absolutely no one was around him. Why does Ward not pick him up when he knows Delaney and Dann are just standing in front of him with no one else there. It beyond a joke. I turned off at half time as had to go out but from what I did see from the Sky Sports highlights for the first goal, What is Hennesey doing coming out like he did and then when your running back towards the goal and player who they may square it too is running beside you, why do you look for offside first rather than tracking your bloody man. Yet again, Ward! If Hennesey just cut the angle down and stayed on his feet it most likely would have not gone in. The way the defense were shaped for the first goal before the through ball was a joke. It basically looked like we had four CB's on the pitch as Tomkins and Ward were standing in front of Dann and Delaney and rather than see Antonio running in behind Dann they all just watch and stare at the ball. I do believe as a team we need to be working on angles better and watching players more but if you cannot get the simple things right that they try and drill in to you as a defender from the youth development then we have not got a hope in hell staying up. I sit there and watch this drivel week in and week out and no one seems to want to rally the team and say this is enough. We saw against Swansea before kick off they all huddled to get some momentum before kick off. Our players were just standing around thinking it's a cold night. Even if we do stay up, a fair few needs to be moved on as they do not have the right mentality for what us the fans believe means to be a palace player. Either show some passions or do us a favor and do a Payet and say you don't want to play. least then we do not have to watch your crap of an excuse on the pitch. Rant over. Whatever happens in the future, I shall remember Jules' clean sheet last week. It may be the last one for a while? Don't forget we're still in "transition" .... we've actually forgotten how to play football at both ends of the pitch but perhaps a few new faces and boots up some old backsides may help the team remember! There is a solution to our situation... Bring on the cast of 'The Archers' - they would have all the enthusiasm for the club, offer more conviction and creativity, and most importantly would be able to maintain possession. All this with the benefit of being more entertaining than the current team.

Elpis. What game were you watching or do you mean because we hadnt conceded a goal to a very poor West Ham team for 45 minutes. We didnt look like scoring. We have a 30 million pound striker who we dont utilise. Before the game Sam talked about keeping clean sheets, and that seemed to be the plan. The first half was awful from both sides. At halftime West adapted to suit the game and went on to win comfortbly. We carried on as in the first half because Sam thought we were playing well

Out of the 4 big signings only Tomkins looks like hes up for the fight. Mandanda looks like hes run home to Mummy and Benteke and Townsend have the heart of a goldfish. Lets hope we are not too far adrift when Wilf comes back
